It sure did push me to research Lightning Network. To me it seems like an incredibly complicated nerd trap, but I did try a few test payments between my own wallets and even a zap, and it fucking works, I guess.

Is there any reason why BTC is used and not something else that has feeless and instant transactions like i.e. IOTA or NANO?
As someone who tried to self custody IOTA once....yes lmao no one should ever use that shit.
But also...its because the protocol was created by a Bitcoin protocol writer. Bitcoin is better tho.
Yeah I mean in general I don't care which technology is being used. However I think it'd be better if transactions would be done via some protocol that's fee-less while also being environmental friendly. But of course it should be easy to implement too. I just think Bitcoin is something that has some disadvantages plus unlike Monero it's not anonymous. (IOTA and NANO aren't either)
Monero on the other hand doesn't have instant transactions and they take a while which would be bad for the use case I guess.
