Why canāt you use lightning on cash app? When the QR code pops up simply long press and then let go on the QR code for cash app to reveal the lightning address or on chain address that you can copy. If you use the lightning address make sure to put in the amount first before you copy the lightning address.

I had to attend a waspy birthday party while I was in NYC. Everyone thought I was a unicorn because I was the only one from the other part of the country. When I told them I was from Orange County in Southern California I was the most interesting person in the room. New Yorkers and Long Islanders are just a totally different vibe than what Iām used to. Also how east coasters dress is hilarious. They lack style, itās all terrible looking collared shirts with shorts that look ridiculous. š

Itās interesting. I had New Yorker and Long Island friends who grew up in both places visit me in Scottsdale and Newport Beach. Not one of them wanted to go back to NYC. They had very been to either place and couldnāt believe how much better everything was. One of my friends ended up moving from NYC to Scottsdale after the trip to visit me and said they would never move back to NYC or Long Island.

We can talk about bad government policies without turning things into a character assassination of people who live in a particular place. Like #[7] said, not everyone who lives here is just hanging around for the nightlife. There are millions of people here who can benefit from bitcoin, maybe even moreso than in other US states specifically because of the restrictions, and also because of its enormous international population who send money overseas to their families and get absolutely soaked by banks and payment companies.
No character assassination from me. I simply stated I have been to NYC, Long Island, etc. and I have zero clue why anyone would live there by choice. Lack of freedom, subpar weather, very high taxes / cost of living, etc. simply doesnāt fit my lifestyle at all. I have been fortunate enough to have lived in a lot of places in the United States and have traveled internationally so my perspective is a lot different than most.
People choose to live in lots of places, because of family, because of work, because of reasons that may not make sense to others. Iāve also had the benefit of living in other places but hereās where my roots are and the best I can do is be an advocate for changing the things that need to be changed.

Itās vastly different up there, particularly as far as safety goes. (Though below 90th has gotten much worse since DeBlasio). Washington Heights is essentially an odd suburb of Manhattan (though safe) and they both take 45 minutes or longer to get there from east/west village.

One thing I couldn't get over when I visited was the firearms I own, if I moved to NYC, brought them with me, and got caught with them would land me in prison for 10 years per firearm. Here in Utah they are 100% legal.

Careful bringing guns into New Jersey, if you live here you're not even allowed to have your gun locked in the trunk of your car unless you're going from a gun store to your home, or on the way to the range. You'll get into trouble otherwise.

Yes, there are reasons why having a lot of guns might make more sense in a state with an entire population less than half of the five boroughs. If thatās the life people want they should absolutely purse it wherever itās easiest to do that. This is a large country full of many possibilities.
What's interesting is when I was in NYC I felt naked not being able to conceal carry. I felt I needed it more in NYC than anywhere else I have lived or visited in the United States. Some sketchy people in that city, especially on the subways at night. I could not imagine being a small female in NYC with limited resources for self protection because of insane politics.

The SCOTUS isn't challenging NY state gun laws, they ruled them illegal and unconstitutional. NY state isn't complying with the Bruen ruling. Those state officials should all be in jail, imo.

Just know if you ever decide to move to another state your quality of life will massively improve, especially the fiat you get to keep in your wallet. I lived in SF for five years, highest state, county, and city income tax in the nation. When I moved to another state I was honestly shocked at how much more money I got to take home per paycheck. I was so accustom to the high taxes of SF I had the mentality everyone paid the tax rate I did. I was so wrong. Plus getting out of the city where there was so much crime, homelessness, and human suffering was so good for my mental health.

CashApp seems to already be able to allow NY residents to hold Bitcoin in their (CashAppās) custody, I think you need the Bitlicense for that.
