Yeah I actually like amethyst because of the auto translate. If damus can do it more consistent id be impressed. My only gripe is I sometimes need to translate it myself to get a more accurate translation from a another service.
Amethyst has on device translation right? iOS unfortunately doesn’t have that feature. I use translate.nostr.wine and it is insanely good, but it is expensive :(
Yah my cheap ass uses my self hosted ai to get slightly better translations if amethyst makes it literally say duck or something. Its usually Japanese that amethyst messes up on.
What model do you use for translations
Wizard Unlocked. Its both a fun and usefull ai LLM. It just really doesnt like translating stuff from english into other languages. I could use vic prob for better results.
I explored integrating offline Google ML Translations into Damus but it’s literally impossible because they support only CocoaPods and running on Rosetta compatibility mode. Many developers complain about this issue with no prioritization from Google.

Mme si leur design est souvent sympa de plus j'ai toujours travaillé sur Windows...Pour la traduction je pense que Vitor fait que Twitter et Bluesky sauf sur certains dialectes qu'on trouve que sur XTwitter de plus il y a une nécessité d'utiliser . Swear my ai is doing better with these by the day. I think if you add damus relay you will see all the images on amethyst. Probably will see more ai language models doing this work with better ease.

Holy shit. That’s nuts.
This is without question the number one priority for an open decentralised communication protocol. If Damus can break borders in this way it will by extension increase peace amongst mankind as well as promote seamless cross border transactions via #bitcoin layer 2s.
