Absolutely, I decided to get healthy in my early 40’s as well and lost almost 80lbs.

Oh I've already been down that road both with me and my dogs. I just ignore it. They follow what they're told in school and conditioned by 'educational' institutions with bought and paid for narratives by big corporations.
Going through that with #[6] right now, at 42. Slowly changing eating habits and getting more exercise. We’re both in better shape now than we’ve been in a while, but still have a ways to go.
Fantastic and always better with your spouse/family. Health is the best gift you can give yourself.
It’ll be even easier when the weather is nice enough to start taking out dog on hour-long walks again.
🤜🫂
I’ve lost 5 lbs in the last two weeks just from making dinner meat and veggies. I’ve not made any other changes
Great work all of y’all! Health is key, you all are inspiring me to get after it today.
We cook at home almost 100% now. At least the last 4-5 years. Steak, red peppers, zucchini 3-4 times a week. Freezer is full of chicken & steak. Simple. Food matters a ton (pun intended).
Meal prep is key. If I didn’t pre-plan what we are having then it becomes take out or by default.
I do 3 days out. Rotate chicken, pork, and beef. Then buy whatever veggies look good. Usually a bag of sweet potatoes, broccoli, asparagus or Brussel sprouts. Then throw in a frozen bag of squash and mixed veggies for backup
I had a bad Brussels sprouts incident. I’d rather not talk about it:). Other than that 💯
Lol. Pimento cheese for me after a near death food poisoning experience at the Masters. I can’t even look at it now without feeling queasy.
🙌
Yes! What has been really interesting to me, a former carb addict is that I have virtually zero cravings when my diet is less varied and consists of protein. It shows that your physiology can control your psychology.
Yeah, once i got off carbs I eat for sustenance, not due to hunger cravings.
