Twitter is dying so damn fast. The rumored new Twitter rules are as follows:
- 200 DMs limit per day (group chats included)
- 20 tweets limit per day (includes retweets, quote tweets and replies)
- 4 photos or 1 video per day (media tweets are counted separately from the general tweets)
Paying Twitter Blue users will have no limits.

when I try to tweet, to verify Twitter blue 8$/month... whereas on nostr it's only 2$ in the form of satoshi, No subscription time limit on nostr,

tbh, who needs to change their email 4 times an hour? They could have easily done 1 time a day or something. The rest seems reasonable tbh 🤷♂️

Never been as active on Twitter as I am now on Nostr. Curious if it will remain or if it will wear off.
Rumor confirmed to be partially true, but the rates are slightly different.
Rationed speech is the new free speech
If spam cannot be solved for free here on nostr, then nostr's model will be similar to that of Twitter (although much cheaper and affordable): pay a few paid relays or you get spam and scammers everywhere.
I'm saying this while being convinced that relays must be paid, they route and store our data and that has a cost, simple as that, and I rather pay a few thousands sats than get ads and god knows what happens to my data.
I'd love to get some stats that help determine if paid relays are billing us enough to be sustainable over the long term...

I mean.. For the most ppl it would be very healthy to be limited. Hopefully society will calm down a bit with these rules ^^ To flame each other ia now expensive.
i'm looking at this from a global perspective. how many times have citizens of oppressed governments or during war live tweeted events as they've happened. they now can't do it without buying twitter blue. it's mind boggling how one would kill "citizen journalism" even though he said that he's a fan of this very thing.
Excellent point! I've never surpassed these limits but the mere fact that they will be in place is suffocating!
Also what's stopping them from changing their rules again.. "today it's 20 tweets and 4 photos but tomorrow it will be 10 tweets and 2 photos only".
