"The goal of this relay is to help with bootstrapping this discoverability problem within the #nostr protocol itself."

Relay added, but I'm still not sure what makes it different.
Added 🤔
Have you zapped a dev today? They are still building #Nostr 💜⚡🤙

Looks very interesting, thanks #[3] 💜⚡🤙
Done
Thank you 🤙
It would make sense to mark it as a different type of relay with maybe a different name? Thanks Pablo
Let's extend this to Monday just cuz 👇👇👇

It never stops. It’s a full time job to keep up with you guys core nostr devs! You’re insane 😅. That’s awesome!✊
I swear, Nostr is the coolest freaking community I’ve ever been a part of.
“Hey #[0] , it takes a while for my search bar to load when looking someone up. Is it possible to make a relay that indexes all the kind 0 events to make it faster?”
“Great idea, I’ll have it done in a couple of days”

Incredible. Thanks to both of you for the idea and execution!!
I like this idea, previously I have a similar vision of such a relay service and I even named it the yerrow-page relay.
One question,
> specified in a format compatible with event 11002.
what is this 11002 event compatible format? can you give any ref
I wonder what will happen when thousands of users add it to their static relay list and it starts getting hundreds of queries per minute for all notes and pubkeys in the world.
hundreds per minute? in the peak times one piratebay server got 40k req/sec and that was about 15 years ago
This is a very useful thing. I hope we get more of these and clients that can use these resources decently.
Where is the code?
Added! 💪🙏
Nice.
Complementary personal relay server setup which also supports the gossip model: https://github.com/pjv/strfry_personal_docker
From the readme:
MOTIVATION
I think that in order for nostr to be what it can be, there needs to be a LOT of small relays all over everywhere as opposed to a short list of giant, "popular" relays that everyone uses which then must inevitably become centralized points of all manner of vulnerabilities that nostr is explicitly about avoiding.
Mike Dilger, author of the nostr client gossip as well as NIP-65 wrote The Gossip Model -- a description of how gossip manages relays in a way that can support this vision of having many smaller relays all over the place and still let people find the content they want to follow via nostr. In that document there is a section called Personal Relays. The write policy in this repo is a first stab at implementing personal relays in that fashion.
Your post is getting a lot of attention.

I'm still wrapping my head around this... 😲

>The goal of this relay is that you will very easily be able to find:
- any users' profile
- the relays gossip-compatible users write to

TLDR has a typo 🙂
Which one? 🤔

I’d be interested in seeing how you approached the crawler code too. I’m prototyping something similar to take in a relay list and a query and process results. Effectively like a crawler - but conscious about causing excess reload load, reusing relay connections, throttling requests, etc.
I haven’t seen any specific crawlers that exist yet - but I’ve heard of a couple being worked on.
Added it. Excited to try it out. 😄⚡

How do you add a relay?
Added and you should too! 🤙🔥

Awesome 🤩
Check this new relay out. Thanks to #[1]

よくわからんけどadded #[0] #[2]
Great idea, it would have to be seen in time with an increase of thousands of requests.
Para agregar y probar 🟣🤙🏼

"usign" typo in the tldr box
将 wss://purplepag.es添加 到您的中继列表;它将改善您使用 Nostr 的体验。

this is the future of desensitized social media ⚡
This is superb. ⚡⚡⚡⚡👍
love it and love the name 💜
