I have a start9 DIY server... What exactly are you trying to do? I'm not familiar with jellyfish.
I have server pure. Jellyfish is streaming media service. Do I need to connect TV to server via HDMI?

Ok... I'm looking at their user guides. You probably CAN use it that way, but it's not meant to be used that way. Everything start9 does is meant to be used from another device on the same network.
They have a built-in kiosk mode but it's buggy and not recommended.

Their devices dont have video cards so you cant use the hdmi for videos. It only allows you to create a "kiosk" for your machine. Youd have to have another device that uses the .local as its Jellyfin server.
So a smart TV? If I'm understanding.
Or Apple TV , but basically you need a OS of some kind to run jellyfin or Plex to be connected to the media server which will be the Start9.

You could technically add the http://iykpqm7jiradoeezzkhj7c4b33g4hbgfwelht2evxxeicbpjh44c7ead.local file to the jellyfin app on Roku, but I use cloudflare because it's easier to type a human readable domain.
My start9 is only for bitcoin things. I put together a raspberry pi with kodi through hdmi to create a more private smart TV. You could do the same with jellyfin or Plex. I don't want my bitcoin server connected to my personal server. I keep them separate.

I use The Cloudflare Tunnel on Start9 to stream Jellyfin over the clear. I use the Roku App on a Smart TV.
