Me, a woman in her thirties…
Just tried kettle bell swings for the first time 🤦♀️
At first, I was like “oh this is hella easy, I could do this all day”
And now…I can’t walk and I’m that “help I can’t get up” grandma from life alert.

Wait till tomorrow🥳.
I’m scared. I’ve done too much 🤯
Aw lawd she done messed aroun n got da weewoos comin
It gets better. Eventually.
😂
Haha they are tough!
Like wtf? I was doing like an hour of Pilates for the same burn like 15 minutes of kettle bell gives me
I haven’t done kettlebells in a while but I’m in a fitness competition with will so maybe I’ll do this tomorrow!
An easy way to beat him 😂🫂
There really isn't a more time efficient workout for the benefit. 10 minutes gives you time for warmup and 10 sets of 10 swings. Throw in another 5 minutes for Turkish get-ups. Though I did fuck myself up a few times with those -- they're worth being careful with.
Yeah I went two weeks ago from 10kg to 16, because it felt just way too easy for both hands and in the evening I had to sit firmly pushed into a seat through three hour rehearsal 🥲
I’m scared. It’s gonna get way worse I think
Pavel Tsatsouline mocks your agony

Idk who the fuck that is 😂
He's THE guy 😂 I have a book for ladies called From Russia with Tough Love. Pinch a coin with your cheeks 🍑

Ooooo😂 wait, he named his book that for real???
Yes 😂

Omg lol. I think I wanna buy the book
Good luck, I don't know if it exists anymore 😒 Cheese found it on Amazon
Then he’s clearly gonna have to photograph every page and send me a large file 😂🤷♀️🫂
😂😂
#yestr
He's why we have kettlebells in America.
got halfway through the thread then realized ryan already did it 😅
Yes comrade
Kettlebells are wild. Do 100 swings, feel like you could have done 500, all good.
Wake up the next day, step out of bed, and...
Collapse. Dear god how are my legs this sore?
I was really into them for awhile a few years back. It does get easier after a few days as you acclimate. I got up to a 2 pood (72 lb) bell at one point before my schedule got whack. People at work at the restaurant I was at used to run at me for fun just to try to get me off balance due to how solid my core got. Wouldn't even spill stuff on my tray when they did.
Those first few days though are brutal.
Yeah today is rough lolol, but I love it to be honest.
I’m using 15 lbs 😂

This is what I went with. 18 is what he recommends for average strength women to start with, and average men at 35, so you're right in the ballpark.
That 70 lb bell is pretty wild, even for swings. I'm not sure I ever quite got up to 10 Turkish Get Ups at that weight -- and any slight problem in form WILL make you pay on those under load. Part of the issue was the floor I was doing them on is just too damn slippery, so even when I have tried to get back in the swing of things (pun somewhat intended) I've really just stuck with swings, just because I did get sick of having weird pops in my sternum. Swings are definitely easier to get the form right on without anything like that, and are a pretty solid workout in and of themselves.
This shit is so intense. I gave up after two attempts and started calisthenics instead 🤪
I kind of like it 🫣
The first 100 workouts are the hardest. After 10 you won't get sore too often. Eat, sleep, train. Welcome aboard, we've been expecting you! 💪😁👍
It’s quite the lifestyle 😂
