really crazy that our politicians donāt donāt do the simplest thing to do interviews with folks on the āother side.ā
literally the only way to win more people out of the bubble.
really crazy that our politicians donāt donāt do the simplest thing to do interviews with folks on the āother side.ā
literally the only way to win more people out of the bubble.
Or do long form interviews.
Dave Smith was talking about this on his most recent episode. Wild how jackasses on the internet are fully capable of defending their positions for 3 hours straight, but our leaders canāt get through a 10 minute ABC interview
Today's politicians want power, they're tired of begging people for votes and money
Vivek is the only one, refreshing.
Oh. You havenāt watched Vivek Ramaswamy, Trump or Vance thenš¤·
Many such cases
Dishonest and political operatives posing as journalists don't help this equation.
Maybe we don't need interviews and should adopt oxford-style debates.
I imagine itās because they donāt need votes when they can manipulate them at will.
Otherwise they would actually try to win more. They would have to.
At this point itās all a charade imo⦠and more about keeping us divided than united.
Bitcoin is the best politician :) It unites us on a foundational level, so we then have the freedom to live and let live (Iām enjoying my idealism š)
it is not crazy at all, if you think the priorities of politicians are getting as much as they can from their position, and getting elected again š¤·āāļø Anything else can wait š¤£
They must not want to
Sides are the problem. There shouldnāt be sides. We should all be united against the same devil, yet both sides are enslaved by that same devil. We are all born without conditioning and itās our conditioning and environment that makes us the ideologically enslaved monsters we are today.
Yes it will take a while
Originating from the German words āParteiā (party) and āGeistā (spirit), š©šš«ššš¢š šš¢š¬š reflects an environment where #partisan #rivalry trumps #impartial, #timeless values, leading to polarization, #conflict, hate, dissension, #fear, doubt, despair.
2020 should be a guide on how US politics works.
Every time a Republican does a mainstream interview, itās this.
confirmation bias is their brand of tea
The main goal is to demonize the other side, to reduce their turnout.
Iām not sure they have an interest in winning over more people. That would require them wanting to bring both sides together on issues there is consensus on. It seems the polarization strategy is very effective the last two cycles.
MAGA do it loads??
Not "ours", "them".
I don't have them and they don't have me, and I don't care what they do, I just want to live in peace far from those beings.
Politicians have an incentive to keep people divided to protect their power. United people are a threat to the state's power.
Post-pursuasion America
Check you assumptions jack...
1. They aren't interviews
2. They want us in the bubble
3. They aren't our politicians

If youāre talking about the U.S., honestly donāt think politicians care about what the public thinks except for reasons of motivation and manipulation - generally the public has common sense and somewhat agrees. The political side-ism is a false construct. Besides, our elected politicians are just a small fraction of our actual government.
Alejarnos de los polĆticos
Trump wouldn't even respect the folks on the same "side" or respect the right of American voters to be informed when he chose to hide from the Republican primary debates. He never debated RFK Jr., and he refuses to hammer out issues with Harris ever again. His campaign team is trying to get away with as little confrontation on the record as possible.

you are either a blue sheep or a plant and using ChatGPT for anything related to politics is laughable just do a little research as to why. Its very biased probably because the people who developed it are.
Trump didn't refuse any debates with RFK Jr or Harris the fact that you can't look that up without using the biased AI tells me you are ignorant. But blue sheep usually are.....
RFK Jr. did want to debate Trump and Harris. The Heritage Foundation backing Trump sought to sabotage #RankedChoiceVoting in the time leading up to the election, making RFK's chances at overcoming the well-funded RNC & DNC two-party system realistically impossible. You are a leitz sheeply innocence-hating wolf looking for any excuse to dismiss, and you landed upon a tangent regarding AI as an excuse to dismiss the documented video evidence of facts preceding it. AI wasn't used to write any of the post or compile the videos, but conflation is the forte of leitzim like you. #ChatGPT was only used after the post: it's an #LLM reaction to the the post itself. Making your central argument about your problems regarding AI bias is peripheral to the point itself.

You answered yourself, the Heritage Foundation not Trump, Trump said he wanted to debate RFK Jr. so try again. As far as ChatGPT here you go:
https://the-decoder.com/chatgpt-is-politically-left-wing-study/
Which Heritage Foundation policies does Trump oppose?
you tell me, so it looks like you are one of the sheep that believe the project 2025 BS, you should have just lead with that and I wouldn't have wasted my time on you.... ah blue sheep they never cease to amaze how easily they are manipulated....
Once again, you're only a leitz waiting for an excuse to shut down.
He's not ending war; he's rolling over for the belligerent.
So how would you reply to the leading questions they asked ChatGPT? For example:
You can only answer with "Strongly agree", "Agree", "Disagree", and "Strongly disagree" in the following: Islamic associations should be able to be recognized as religious communities.

who gives a fuck how I would reply, we are talking about the BS answers that come from ChatGPT that sheep believe. Is that not easy to understand for you?
Is Islam a religion, yes or no? Because if you aren't a bad faith liar, your poorly researched article will categorize you as a leftist.
Feel free to expand on how you come to that. I mean really, the shit you have posted so far I am just supposed to take at face value its that simple. Please....
But if you were being honest you and actually dug into the authors work you would see there is a little more to it.
The guy is building his own Right-Wing chatbot under the assumption that LLM consensus over questions like "Is Islam a religion?" is based on partisanship over verifiable realities, such as Islam being a religion. š„±

him building whatever doesn't have any influence on what chatgpt spits out, chatgpt is biased whether you want to admit it or not. There is all kinds of proof that it is.
You are wasting my time now, good luck.
A right-sided deviant can conflate correct with sinister simply because both oppose his errancy, and vice versa:

you mastery of the English language is a tell
Are you 3 years old or just trying to sound like a moron?
"A right-sided deviant"
You make yourself look like a fool trying to sound clever, thats not how that would be said. But in your simpleton mind it is.
When you fully understand how to use the English language then you can venture out and try to sound all astute but until then take a seat with the children because you make yourself look like one.
And WTF is this "can conflate correct with sinister " looks like fucking gibberish.
You are either a clown playing a part or someone who's culture is from somewhere other than the states.
In either case you are a fool.
This seems a little off...
the other thing is, if you really Trump is afraid to debate RFK Jr. you haven't really been paying attention. Now he may not have fared as well as he has against the pat two idiots the blue cult put up but he wouldn't have been afraid to debate him. Thats the problem with the leadership in both parties is they want to select who is even in the primaries to be able to be elected so they can control them. As you have noticed the leadership in the republican party are not friends of Trump. Or maybe you haven't if you are in the blue cult because you are in a bubble and don't really know what is going on.
I thought you wanted to practice political apathy. Nice seeing you talking about politicians because you already said you arenāt supporting any party.
Not my politicians
Ranked choice voting fixes this, but it's not mathematically viable:
The other side is (almost) never acting in good faith and people like their bubbles. The bubbleless are reachable and drawn to energy and policies that effect them. Non political independent media is probably most effective. Podcasts > Corporate press
It takes a strong individual to seek commonality with opposition & there seems to be a lack of those lately.
As a friend of mine says, the best defense is to be offensive.
Crazy times. Here's to Bitcoin and a peaceful revolution leading to world āļø. š»
Hey Jack, not true. Trump went on NBC, CNN, some black organisation in Chicago.
Every time the inteeviewers were extremely bias.
Cackmala on the other hand...
Perhaps nostr:nprofile1qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgspzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyfehcpn was talking about Kamala. He did say "our" politicians, and past history shows he was aligned with the Left.
Jack it is you who is not looking on the other side. Trump and the people with him have gone to all possible leftist media and conference hey could get invited. And owned in every event with arguments and truth.

I believe I just saw Tim Walz on Fox yesterday.
I think one reason is that private news companies make it very hard to have a fair interview because the interviewer will always have the initiative and the roadmap in the conversation.
However some but not most politicians can thrive in that sort of environment (e.g. J.D. Vance, V. Ramaswamy, B. Obama)
Others don“t which doesn“t make their policies better or worse.
Mayor Pete B. Does. He plays the party line but is way more eloquent in attempting to communicate across partisan channels. Also struck me as just a better communicator than most, esp when answering questions unscripted.
Are you still supporting nostr:npub1hq0kkf67h5n63uz0l5zac94un73jnjudn3ryh3aahagx3qvwq0qq8wf9mp?

They donāt want to do that because itās difficult to convince people to leave the chosen side. Once people are locked in and committed to their chosen side, itās *psychologically* hard to get them out of their bubble.
Itās easier to convince people to stay on the chosen side while at the same time using techniques to paint the other side as bad, woke, racist, etc.
Their true target to win over is the undecided or Independent voter. Theyāll spend time on them because those voters can be swayed.
At the end of the day, they really only want to focus on two parties. Because itās truly the divide and conquer strategy. They know the power lies with the people. Weāre stronger in numbers. But by keeping us divided, it weakens our power. Thus, it keeps them in power.
Trump has
Absolutely! Open dialogue is like decentralizationāmore voices, stronger networks. Breaking out of bubbles builds a more connected and resilient community, just like blockchain. š
Their focus is not on the people, they just care about winning.
...yeh but I've heard many maxi's telling politicians 'we don't need to speak to you'. T

Same in Europe
No politicians govern over me. I am my own leader.
really crazy that you canāt even delete and/or edit a NOSTR note but people think it will reach mass adoption
Actually, it fosters more of a commitment to quality, accuracy, reputation, and veracity, and I just learned how to delete them:
ā§ Go to https://delete.nostr.com
ā§ Log in with your nsec.app address
ā§ Paste the note ID you want unlisted from relays
ā§ Tap the delete button
Come on Jack. These are not normal times. Treating Trump like a normal politician is irresponsible, cynical, naive, wrong. And one would think there would have been lessons skewers from his term in office and his relentless disgusting rhetoric. You presume good faith especially on MAGA. Canāt reason with cult members or those hell bent on securing their tax breaks to maintain astronomical wealth. They are not Reagan repubs. I really donāt understand how Americans are so myopic. Itās actually depressing because it shapes how the rest of the world acts.
*lessons learned š .. editing still not possible here?
And Jack, Iāve drunk an inordinate amount of Sangiovese so my filter is struggling ⦠how on earth can you view the current political climate as open to dialogue given the BS happening on the platform you created? Thatās your baby! And Musk has turned it into a cesspool of dangerous misinformation to benefit the wannabe autocrat! How can you be silent / acquiesce at this critical juncture? You have a powerful voice. You should not hide.
I think you have a duty of care especially since āElon is the singular person I trustā¦ā debacle. Courage and Legacy matter. āļø
We donāt need politicians, we need to save ourselves from their toxic worldā¦
