I believe I just saw Tim Walz on Fox yesterday.
I think one reason is that private news companies make it very hard to have a fair interview because the interviewer will always have the initiative and the roadmap in the conversation.
However some but not most politicians can thrive in that sort of environment (e.g. J.D. Vance, V. Ramaswamy, B. Obama)
