The level of suppression under centralized social media is probably mind blowing.. and we already think it’s awful. especially when it comes to bitcoin and now nostr… just have to keep educating. Keep sharing npubs on twitter til they ban us all

Seems so. I posted the meme above and my account was almost immediately locked. They reactiveted it, but who knows

Guys I don't know what Jack did or if someone on Twitter is listening to this or what but I noticed my account just got unlocked. The notification I got after the temporary ban was that they were locking it for up to a week so I don't know what changed.

Mine just got suspended 10 minutes ago. I've been talking about nostr alot lately, but have never linked to nostr.
Mine also locked (more than 1 account). I can still post and reply but get an account locked message asking for account verification via phone number when I try to DM. No recent mention of Nostr and know I didn’t violate ToS.. but none of my accounts have ever had phone numbers attached. Guessing we’re on to shotgun phone number collection now.
Yeah, but I can’t imagine Twitter is actively seeking those that have that info in their bio. It seems like an angry response to tweeting about it.
Sounds very similar to what a smaller, ‘truthful’ social media app does when challenged.
My npub is also on my Twitter profile with #nostr ... It most likely starts as a shadowban then escalates ... 🥴
I’ve heard of similar things happening with Mastodon so it wouldn’t surprise me.
Honestly I don't know why but it happened immediately after I posted a picture and mentioned Nostr. They asked me to reverify with a code and then said my account was now locked for a week. I'm wondering if they're going after small plebs only or if they've messed with more prominent accounts.
