Well, likes are free. Zaps cost a non zero amount of money. What’s the incentive to zap? Unless I just like throwing money around?
I’m fine without having a likes cause they are useless! Zaps will make the signal better on here vs noise ! Nostr doesn’t have an algo so it’s pointless to click that like button 🤷♂️

Zap is a tip or "thanks". I think likes and zaps coexist well side by side.
Also with likes one has some sense how many people see the note. Helps with "shouting into the black digital void" effects for people with small nr of followers.
