Try to eat 12-6. Get lots of fat. Eat until you are full and no further. If you’re trying to do intermittent fasting and still eating carbs and sugar, you’re ngmi.

You don't have to count the time, as long as you stay very hydrated (water or tea only) & keep yourself busy. Then time goes by quickly & you are increasing the fasting periods, without having to think about when & what to eat next.

Coffee helps with suppressing hunger/appetite

Coffee is a really bad idea.

It sucks out hydration from your body + in sunny regions it's currently very hot, so you need additional hydration, not less.

Additionally, if that wasn't bad enough, caffeine increases your sweating & may make you feel hotter.

It's also a very US-American culture thing, that someone is looking for substances rather than psychology & willpower tools, to accomplish a mission.

You can feel less hunger with the right mind, than with an average idiot's mind & coffee. :)

I see more and more people talking about that, my question is why?

Also in fact beside a small breakfast I barely eat outside noon to 7PM, as I lunch at noon and because of kids we have dinner early like at 6.30 or 7. Then if I'm busy on the PC I mostly don't think about snacking anyway.

it gives more structure to my eating habits, plus so far, i’ve been feeling a lot better

Coffee for breakfast 🤙 I love the 16/8 IF! Once I realized I could have coffee, it was easy to make it to noon

oh absolutely, i do coffee and water, then the lunch hits soooo nicely 💜

It hits so nice! Plus, you’re sleeping hopefully half of the 16, so it’s not too hard to stay disciplined once you get your routine in order imo

I have some experience with it. I'll write you tomorrow my experiences and thoughts about it (will be a little longer). Just so much: I feel much better when I fast. I used to eat only once a day, then I didn't fast for some time. That was a big difference, I didn't feel so good. Now I've been fasting again for a few weeks. 18:6 with two meals. It feels fantastic. But with all the exercise I do, there are a few things to watch out for.

that would be absolutely wonderful 🥺💜

So tanel, now I have a few minutes (waiting for my food 😊)

I'm fasting, as I said a little longer.

I think interval fasting is one of the keys to a healthy and long life.

At first I did the whole thing a little too extreme. I ate only in the evening. That was not so easy. I was already running every day at that time. But basically it felt good not to have a full stomach all day. Then I started to train 5 times a week additionally in the gym. And there it was impossible to eat only in the evening. Then I stopped fasting completely. Very complicated time. Working out and running felt good, but I struggled with eating. I started to study exactly what nutrients the body needs. I learned a lot about food. Finally, I started fasting again a few weeks ago. However, this time 18:6 (so 18 hours fasting and 6 hours eating), sometimes I fast 16:8, for example when I am out with friends or family. Basically it is easy for me not to eat breakfast. I never liked. I never eat before 12, then two meals. I usually start with a green smoothie. Before that a drink of turmeric, ginger and lemon. Basically, I also no longer drink coffee ( I miss it already), but matcha. I also try to avoid processed foods. It should be real food.

It is easy for me to fast because it makes me feel good. Vital and also much more focused and able to concentrate. What are your experiences so far?

Thank you so much for this, some great tips you have there 💜

My experience so far has been really positive, feeling less bloated and fatigued, and also it has made me understand how much cravings i have late at night, which I’d usually give into.

I guess the toughest thing for me right now is portion sizing and also what to consume

I often do 24 hour fasts. Green tea helps.

I've long fasted, intermittently, without realising that it's a "thing", but out of natural habit. That said, usually I'd fast approx one day a week and it's never harmed me. I recently started eating late due to fiat mining and I've been feeling rough every time, so that's stopping and I'll only be eating for a few hours a day now, nothing after 7pm.

I used to do 22/2 IF, nowadays I'm more lax...

Autophagy is a good word to research, experts differ on the time it takes to start, some say 18hrs some say more

I use the “zero” app as a timer so I don’t forget. I eat 80% carnivore diet stuff, and the less carbs you eat, the easier the fasting part is. #intermittentfasting #faststr Good luck! I’ve been IF for about 5 months and lost several dozen lbs.
