First “PC” gaming setup.

First “PC” gaming setup.

Are you a lefty?!
Not usually. The mouse just needed a charge
Tf is that?
A steamdeck bitchhhhhhh
Steamdeck is a console get out of here fake pc gamer 😂
It’s a Linux computer disguised as a console 😳
How does it run? Can you play online? Does it have access to your entire steam library?
Yes and yes
If money wasn’t an issue, would you prefer this over a gaming laptop?
Yes that’s why I got it. I wanted to play steam games, but not bother with the whole setup
My gaming PC is fucking cooked. Built it in 2018 and it was a fun experience but I can’t do it again lol I was thinking gaming laptop because I need something that I can travel with but heard that those are bad too idk what to do
Dude. Get a steamdeck
Pretty easy to use, most games are compatible, great ps2 emulator, also linux pc.
Minimal complaints here 🤝
15 years ago the idea gaming would be the main reason consumers would buy Linux PCs would have been hilarious. GG Valve.
Does it have vpn compatibility though?
Do yourself a favor and play expedition 33.
It doesn't run THAT great on the steam deck but it's such a good game.
Okay 🤷♀️🫂
Can you play any game on there? Like Blizzard stuff for example
Is blizzard a steam game?
No it’s a game studio. They make games like Diablo, World of Warcraft, StarCraft
I haven't tried the older ones, but I know wow can run on SteamOS, I helped a friend set it up. It's likely the old ones will though.
Valve's work getting gaming to work on Linux is amazing. I've got over 200 games in my library and I think there are 2 that don't run on Linux.
I looked it up. They seem to run with some workarounds. Pretty cool. Is it powerful?
I've never really used a steam deck for more than a few minutes, I do have Steam running on a couple Linux PCs though.
FWIW Anytime you have a smaller package it will limit performance, but they sell a lot of them. If your looking for 4k ray-tracing uber-PC gaming probably not the best choice, but if the "Switch" form factor is appealing it's a good choice. Lots of manufacturers make them now too, there's choices.

Ah so steam deck is not made only by valve. Many companies do it? So many configurations?
Getting serious over there! 🙌
Well, technically, you’re absolutely right. It’s definitely a PC, and it’s clearly a gaming one. We could point out that it’s not exactly an IBM-compatible PC, but nobody really remembers those concepts anymore.
Looks slick. Nice battlestation!

I'm doing all my gaming on my steam deck now. Planning on converting my desktop to Linux. Games were the only reason I still use Windows.
very nice!
🤔🤔😆😍😍
