2021. When I realized they were lying about Covid, I wondered what else they were lying about and it was game on from there.

2020 was the hash function. No going back
2021, the year I lost faith in nearly all institutions.
Watching Ron Paul in the presidential debates in my high school social studies class. Everyone was so excited about Obama at the time but I was oddly compelled by the old guy Ron Paul who spoke so differently about things. Read his book, found out about Mises.org. All downhill from there.

I can honestly say more and more people are coming along at faster rates in the last several decades.
Some people act like the FNG (Fucking New Guy) at work that figured something out and now they think they know everything. First off welcome to the group, but shut the fuck up and pay attention. If you piss me off you can go sit in the corner with the other FNG's wearing helmets and eating crayons.
Others you give the slow clap to as you watch them figure it out like an epiphany and they are humbled. I've witnessed it a lot over the years.
Then there are those that were never under the illusion and they were the ones plotting for centuries on how to relieve The People from the Bankers illusion.

I think its a gradual process for a lot of us.
Graduating from college during the GFC, realizing so much of what I was taught was bs. Zeitgeist, OWS, Sandy Hook, 9/11 and all the other false flags, lies and rabbitholes over the years..
Was dismepowering at first, but then you learn to create a life outside of their systems as much as possible.
Covid was great for the single reason that so many slumbering people woke up and joined their brethren with open eyes

Same here. 2008 made me realise the system was irreparably busted. Banks getting bailed out at the public's expense made me so angry. I started boring people with my concerns about a crisis of confidence coming for fiat currencies, not for some years, but very possibly in my lifetime. Even so, life got in the way of me studying Bitcoin properly, and realising that it was the best alternative humanity has. Very lucky we have it.

2008 with cris martenson's crash course. Things were feeling off before that but 2008 is when I started to understand.
