Apparently they kept all of their money in bitcoin (smart move) and there was a raid where the feds seized all of their bitcoin under the assumption they were the proceeds of crime. Leaving them with no money to defend themselves. Even worse, as a condition of their bail they arenât allowed to interact with or transact with cryptocurrency. Meaning even if they had funds that the Feds werenât able to seize they arenât legally allowed to access them. Very fucked situation. Seems unlikely to me that they are federal agents/informants.

Thanks, simple to protect against once you know the lengths authority based trolls are prepared to go.
How do the feds seize bitcoin if itâs in cold storage, were the samurai folks retarded?
seems strange indeed
Iâm not sure on the details, but it seems like the bitcoin was able to be seized during the raid.
OPSEC dictates a cold card in a pelican case buried in the garden with 1/3 + of yer stack is essential
seems strange that feds seized all their "Unconfiscatable" đ˝ since they were so technically "competent"
When faced with overwhelming munitions, physical opsec is your only help.
Seized Bitcoin? FUD
if you were arrested you certainly would declare "all" your holdings so the search would end quickly
I don't think this is uncommon. I know people who had bank accounts seized and their spouses were not allowed to withdraw anything to bail them out. They had to borrow money from family.
How did the feds seize their bitcoin?!
how does the Fed seize Bitcoin?
They stick a gun in your face and say tell me where the bitcoin is.
Exactly. Bitcoin doesn't fix that.
5 keys all over the world
you need to find 4
Good luck
We really do not know about what fed seized in detail but this is what we know

If you look at the lates order
https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.615996/gov.uscourts.nysd.615996.16.0.pdf
"due in part to Mr. Rodriguezâs home detention in Pennsylvania and financial restrictions imposed upon release, Mr. Rodriguez has been unable to confer fully to finalize an engagement with counsel"
âHowever, the deed to the property (which is their marital home) was seized during the Governmentâs search of the property at the time of Mr. Rodriguezâs arrest.â
This seems like a for sure honeypot operation even moreso now.
Either way they're the reason the feds have their hands on more coins now, if true.
