we need pay to read relays… even if that completely breaks with the nostr philosophy of decentralized reach. Along with clients that will respect and not rebroadcast these notes out just because a pubkey has read access.

I wonder if nostr will suffer from bots spamming notes. Like the one on this post. And how will it be addressed.
An open protocol will always suffer from that. However, it doesn't mean that clients and users can't do anything about it.

- Promised full self driving from CA to NY in 2016; still not delivered
- Peddled false information as to how cameras with NN is better than LiDAR.
- Ridiculed battery replacement technology for electric cars that is now pursued by NIO
- Built tunnels (boring company) and sold to gullible ppl as "revolutionary"
- Pump/dump tesla stock
- Pump/dump Dogecoin
And now twitter...
The list goes on!
I feel like all these platform think they are worth more then they really are. Its not the users fault that Elon overpaid and now needs to make. monetizing of our content priority #1.
