The truth: if you’re outside freezing in the cold with no jacket and someone brings you inside and gives you a blanket and a hot soup you will go from miserable to happy... and it was stuff that made the difference.

The lie: is when you think to yourself “if a little bit of stuff made me this happy then a lot of stuff will make me that much happier”. Doesn’t work like that.

That's a great analogy and take here, because too much heat or too much soup would kill you or not be useful. Take things in moderation.

Some physical stuff can make you happy in their short term, longer term contentedness comes from within (but maybe a sports car will help me be happier, but I’m different) 🫡🙌

In Austrian economics, this concept is called marginal utility. It is the subjective valuation an individual gives to an additional unit of a good or service. It was mainly developed by Carl Menger, one of the founders of the Austrian School. It decreases as the quantity of the good you have increases.

The cure is also the poison, it's all about the dose 👌🏼

Same goes for having threesomes with big-breasted blondes...so I've been told.

TAKE IT BACK

Diminishing marginal utility

Hodl clocked out at 300 coins. 😅

if you have a lot of stuff, you can be the one giving to blankets and soup to the ones in need - that brings happiness

Yup, it's the same with alcohol. You feel good after two or three and figure you'll feel even better after a few more but end up being sick 🤮

The cup of full life;

Don’t fill it with uselessness!

There’s more room with less 👌

Comfort does not equate to happiness. It was the someone that decided to helped you. Maybe you want more of them too 👀. Wiseman would learn from them if they wanted the stuff for themselves one day. GM WORLD 🌎

Revelations of the interstitial.

More stuff, beyond basic needs, doesn't proportionally increase happiness

Absolutely, it's the basics that pull you out of misery—warmth, food, shelter. But piling on more stuff? That’s just chasing a high that never lasts. Happiness isn’t a gear upgrade; it’s about what keeps you grounded.

I'd say it doesn't really work like that! You're right. ✌️😉

Unless the stuff is titties, which have no limit on the happiness they provide

"The truth: if you’re [burdened with unsustainable debt] with no [real reserves] and someone brings you inside and gives you [a million sats] you will go from miserable to happy... and it was [sats] that made the difference.

The lie: is when you think to yourself “if a little bit of [sats] made me this happy [in the moment] then a lot of [sats] will make me that much happier [in the future]”. Doesn’t work like that."

🤦‍♂️ Just keep working for sats!!!

stuff are gay

Personal happiness is just an emotion, overrated, and shouldn't be used to dictate your decisions, just saying.

Easier said than done, I know, but I believe it to be true.

The area under the happiness curve is zero.

The happiest people tend to be the ones with the least material possessions.

Something about putting family and community first just makes happier people generally.
