I’m a design thinker, product designer, learning enthusiast, a hopeful libertarian and a proud 🟥 Geyser Guardian.

I’m afraid the knowledge isn’t enough. The brain is prone to addiction, since it’s a highly effective system also for all the beneficial regular stuff we do. Alcoholics who do fight that can’t have a sip until the end of their lives. That strong system it is. A nice book about how it is for the addict on a socially accepted drug wrote Matty Perry from The Friends, before he died. Usually books on addiction are about hard drug addicts and I never felt the connection, but this one got me.

The first clips will create a dopamine loops based on created emotions, it can be whatever, even a disgust. Then the loops will get connected to the physical movement, the swipe. It can be a sound (pornhub, netflix, phone vibration).

Then slowly the loop will move before the swipe, so the expectation of the swipe and the potential emotion will be enough to release the dopamine.

But over time the amount of dopamine decrease and you’ll have to swipe more and more often to squeeze something.

And the algo just makes sure to keep you in doing that based on their retention metrics.

Is there really KYC needed for activation of Primal wallet? Am I doing something wrong?

Authors Lustig, Cordain and Sisson have been OK in explaining to me the principles that also the carnivore is based on. Though I lean more to the plant-based-organic-if-possible-(80%). Personally I don’t know any 100%-carnivores, but in bitcommunity I know Josef Tetek (may not be on Nostr, but on X is as @satsjoseph

In general in those books you’ll find out that anything with a bill-of-materials and not organic is shit.

I’m adding a few other books which adds more detail to certain aspects (like The Energy Plan).

On products I was working on we observed a higher retention with interactive onboarding which led to a product setup based on user’s preferences. Though they may have changed those later, but it was an already known concept to them. Simple info dumps never worked for us. But also it depends on the success metrics you set up, right?

I think it has something to do with the ever changing monetization models due to a recente switch in the YT leadership and even though being rich, they are slaves of the algo. I also saw a few like this. Some others tried to move to Nebula, but the adoption curve is ruthless.

Just from top of my head: on-device AI, way better screens for a bright sunlight, great out-of-the-box connection with the ecosystem. Those SW features are dependent on the invisible HW upgrades. But I'm not a tech guy. And I feel it is quite mature now, so I wouldn't mind less changes and longer lifespan, even though 7 years should be ok. In my family we do 4 years us and then 3+y parents.

I am a little worried if the ETF is a good step for the future. It can be hard to then move towards a currency. Because as ETF bitcoin doesn't pose any threat to transfer banks (and other types of invisible banks). Also in EU it may be categorized as a normal asset with s time test for tax-free profits... but that doesn't sound like what the whitepaper says...

Guess what?

Unblock me and start communicate

Now this Imo Babics from Relai blocked me on Linkedin ✌️ And I just asked why the support doesn’t communicate 🤷🏻‍♂️

Monetize = laws and taxes in the worst regions like US and EU. And I think a lot of people in IT don’t have stomach for that. Anything around bitcoin and open-source will be criminalized by any nearby local institution 🤷🏻‍♂️
