Isn't this massively breaching privacy ? shouldn't your wallet data be your private info. Should you as the nsec owner have the sole responsibility of authorizing the social media client to retrieve data from your wallet and not automated approval ? if it's automated approval, is your wallet info leaked data ? Most wallets here now might be pseudo wallets, but what happens if people tie in their actual wallets? would this info be also visible on npub as then it becomes public info

When we look at potential distribution, there’s a small circle of aspiring entrepreneurs (A) who build businesses. A larger group (B) consists of developers, builders, and innovators, and a subset of them becoming entrepreneurs likely due to preference. The more extensive group with untapped potential comprises general contributors (C).

Contributors are passionate, and multi-talented individuals who could potentially be entrepreneurs or developers. However, due to a preference for stable incomes and lacking specific developer skills, they often avoid these roles. Additionally, their financial responsibilities and family obligations make them hesitant to take the high risks and complexities that come with innovators, developers and entrepreneurs.

However, contributors hold a huge opportunity in making something successful. In the Bitcoin space, many become influencers, seek jobs in Bitcoin companies, host podcasts or talks, become educators, event organizers, write books, provide financial services and advisory, and engage in Bitcoin mining. They actively promote Bitcoin, build networks, and act as Bitcoin advocates. As some of their businesses become big, they gently embrace entrepreneurship. But pushing them into entrepreneurship or development from the get-go may not be effective. They prefer Bitcoin-related activities but with different roles.

When we zoom out, beyond these services, there are numerous unexplored job opportunities that can be created within this ‘Contributor’ domain.

There are possibilities of developing gig economy enterprise, or freelance job opportunities, or even a possibility of ‘collective funds with fixed reward systems’ such as YT which can unlock the potential of contributors in a way that is comfortable for them. Based on the concept of ‘network effects’ many secondary and tertiary bitcoin related jobs can also be created. I hope to explore bridge between entrepreneurship and gig because I think that's one way to spread the Bitcoin economy. But I believe there are a lot of brains here who can get creatively wild with it.

Similarly the same opportunity lies with Nostr. There are definitely more developers/builders here, some are entrepreneurs. But most people here are contributors in one way or another and having preferred jobs in these segments would be a sweet spot for many. TBD would likely be heavily related to developers at the moment as well, but once this takes off, this would also benefit a high volume of contributors.

I have spoken to many people who have said they love Bitcoin and want to do something bitcoin related. Over time I understood that contributors do not want to be developers or entrepreneurs but they are very special in their own ways. And given the right opportunities, they will be a huge contributor to Bitcoin, Nostr and TBD

that's a lot of sats zapped, nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s , thank you, appreciate it - glad it was beneficial!

that's just sad. What would work for global awareness? A blockbuster style oppression vs bitcoin movie ? a series of short movies on how bitcoin can help stabilise the world economy and prevent war ?

Nostr is a place you can breathe easy

The world is becoming more and more suppressive everyday

Remember that US surveillance law ? There was no bill passed in my country - it was just implemented - under the guise of "better centralised data of people" and "socio economic handouts" with deadline set.

Is this happening in other countries as well? A WEF agenda ?

Some suggestions on 'zero-cost marketing' for Nostr clients and other stuff. Feel free to add on suggestions :

1. Write more on media - approach various angles of Nostr and target at least 1-2 articles to be published a month.

2. Reach out to users based on where they are - if college kids maybe have talks or workshops on campuses. If it’s neighborhood, put up short and catchy brochures in the neighborhood local businesses, coffee shops, on the street, bars .

3. Ted talks or similar highly established talks with a large audience on the concept of

(a) “reversing the current internet” like how nostr:npub1zuuajd7u3sx8xu92yav9jwxpr839cs0kc3q6t56vd5u9q033xmhsk6c2uc ` talked about or

(b) bridging many diff ideologies through platforms and bringing people together like how nostr:npub1k979np6dcpwh7mkfwk7wq3msezml48fh7wksp9hakakf8pwk3y5qhdz7te is doing it .

These are all very novel concepts.

4. Do short videos like how the Thai tik tok went viral - and post it on various other social media - tik tok, IG, FB.

5. Partner up with businesses for free onboarding promo on their website to their clients.

6. Get into as many TV interviews and radio interviews

The current marketing initiatives are heavy on Bitcoin conferences.

1. It might be stale because of high repetition

2. BUT. Because it's easier to convert bitcoiner, the initiatives here can be one step beyond onboarding - such as establishing bitcoin relays or if specific to localities, then onboard someone local who can set up local relays and that person onboards more people from there, and it relays on =)

Goal = acquire users + grow this user base.

Some thoughts :

Having a great and easy to use product with useful features is one thing. Finding users is another. Both are different types of challenges.

I like nostr:npub1jlrs53pkdfjnts29kveljul2sm0actt6n8dxrrzqcersttvcuv3qdjynqn 's concept of user growth and I think clients would benefit from a user acquisition strategy, establishing primary, secondary target audience and finding means to engage them.

I hope Nostr doesn't die off. It's a great initiative.

If you have more suggestion on zero-cost marketing, feel free to add on.

i think this, just like the ocean pool, ultimately boils down to people and principle. Many people, even those who label themselves as prominent Bitcoin influencers, often choose to disregard anything that might potentially impact on their profits.
