There are no permanent states like there are no permanent people. Some will live long lives some short, in some cases because of the choices they made, others because of the choices of others or happenstance. What is your definition of “worked” how long does it need to be around to work?

I’ll add. With The general trend of demographic winter, I’ll say it out loud, a coherent plan for righting the ship from a debt perspective includes more immigrants not less.

One or more of three things will happen. 1) Taxes rise significantly , 2) Services are cut significantly , 3) monetary base inflates significantly. Any combination of the three will be a painful shock in a more or less similar magnitude. I’d prefer a path where we dig ourselves out a bit and give people time to start adapting. Adding more is increasing the height of the cliff we are walking towards. A default will be a significant cut to services. Border protection is a service. But I agree in a political situation where event talking about correction never mind actually correcting is a third rail. The default or some combination of the three “forms” of default appear unavoidable.

A very interesting novel idea to let those who can pay market rates, compensate builders enough that lower incomes can also get an apartment at a caped rate. Imagine how many more apartments could get built if all the apartments were rented or sold at the market rate instead of being forced to sell or rent for below the market rate. 🤔 If a little market economy is good let’s try a little more.

I have worked in data analysis for more than a decade and what I have learned in that career is that if you think you have found a valuable insight, it’s probably an error. Interesting read, makes sense.

Last time I looked seriously at mining my observations were you should ask yourself if you can mine a bitcoin for less than you can buy it on an exchange . You are buying it either way, once through electricity and hardware and time and risk the other through trading currency. When I looked at it before it seemed cheaper to just buy it. But if you want no kyc and or you just want to learn something these can be added to what value you are going to get out of it that may make it worth it. I have an s9 I will still run as a space heater this winter.
