Duh, but it's still a hurdle to jump over that most bots and scammers won't bother doing. Down the line there can be a different PoW method that they have to jump through.

It's still a hurdle that bots or scammers have to cross. NIP-05 takes care of 80% of the issues.
Down the line, there will be any number of *optional* hurdles people go through to prove probability wise they are not a bot, scammer, whatever that other people want

Hey homie you seem real but make sure to get a NIP-05 verification filled in soon. It'll make your account more legit. A lot of people, including myself, tend to be hesitant to interact with non 'verified' Nostr users because of the bot situation

That's good to know. I would think this would be a pretty simple implementation to have a setting where if an npub doesn't have a nip-05 address filled in, I want it muted
It's literally a NIP-05 address being filled in or not. IDK why this is so controversial

3.2 npub.cash - get your npub followed by @npub.cash and use it as your wallet address to receive anonymous private #LN payments and #cashu payments. You can pay in the wallet web site for a custom address as well (cool)
3.3 nuts.cash - same as above, just not an option to buy an address, meaning no #Bolt11 support
