I think you're confused. Non standard transactions are with the protocol standards...
Okay and? I just went over this standard and non standard are arbitrary as well... Semantics. A transactions standardness has no bearing on its inclusion in a block.
Explain how it's nonsense. Make a real argument. Again this is all arbitrary. That's my whole point and you refuse to acknowledge that because you don't like certain zeros and ones being passed around
Finance refers to monetary resources and to the study and discipline of money, currency, assets and liabilities.
Any transaction that involves money is financial by definition. there is no grey area. This is financial.

(I just picked a random one)
"No one wants to censor your transaction, they just want to censor transaction if it's not a certain kind of transaction."
Do you understand the conundrum we have here?
Do whatever you want in your mempool. Don't make the same argument for consensus rules. There is no way to stop "non financial transactions" from being included in a block. I'd argue any consensus tx is a financial tx. They're paying a fee in a currency to a miner. That's financial. You're free to disagree and make your mempool reject whatever you want.
Spamming or including spam in blocks? What do you mean? No one is stopping anyone from making whatever mempool policy they want. Especially now as they're not even removing the filter. Carry on in Core 30 with the same filter if you want. Gossip is going to relay these transactions no matter what your filter says. Now your node won't gossip about it to others so you can reduce how much they are "talked about" between nodes but the network will absolutely always know about them.
Standard and non standard are still both concensous so the semantics really don't matter anyways. Should consolidations be non standard? Those aren't transactions between peers. What about lightning channels? HTLCs? Why are those "standard"? The metric is arbitrary. Basically a "non standard" should be a transaction most people normally wouldn't want to send because they don't make sense. ie spending more on fee than you're sending. What's standard will always change as we learn more and more how to scale.
You don't have to go out of band to get non standard transactions in a block.
For anyone not aware nostr:nprofile1qqsve2jcud7fnjzmchn4gq52wx9agey9uhfukv69dy0v4wpuw4w53nqpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtcuseaka PR to remove the filter entirely was NOT merged. A PR was merged an hour ago to uncap the limit but keep the filter. Core kept an unnecessary filter (imo) to appease plebs and they're still going to be mad about this non issue.
I'll admit I'm wrong when you show me how your filter can stop my transaction from propogating through the network.
News flash, it can't and if it could then Bitcoin would be useless. Read that again. "...your filter can stop my transaction..."
That's NOT something we want in Bitcoin. No matter what you think spam is or isn't. Bitcoin should be uncensorable period. Luckily for everyone, it is. Let them waste generation wealth on silly pictures and just leave it alone. Bitcoin is fine.

No... They did what you're doing and sued the cake shop owner because the owners of the shop decided they don't want to make your cake anymore. You got it backwards. Core is core and it's their repo. They can do whatever they want. You can go get you cake (node) anywhere else you want. Including the other 29 cakes they already made for you that still work fine. They're not forcing you to buy their new cake. Just start buying cakes elsewhere. That's how it works.
No one's making anyone make any cakes though.
Maybe this is why I love it. I'm an actual engineer in real life.
Claude code has made my server maintenance much easier
Yes, have the app just use random generated keys. Basically at the login flow, have a modal for anon account and it'll just make random keys for a single session.
You should allow for ease of posting an anonymous yakbak and anonymous replies
My 4yo was talking about science and I told my daughter that daddy is a computer scientist and she said she's a craft scientist. She then expressed that she's a teacher and she teaches babies how to do the crafts. Naturally taking after her mother. nostr:nprofile1qqsfg2spq35fak0xfwjn5lfumpn59h0ka4n8n3yux3d9fnlegyq9pxspz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszyrhwden5te0dehhxarj9ekk7mf0qydhwumn8ghj7amgv4shgtngv9c8q7t5v9mx2unw9e3k7tc04jwwg
Can I use it as a sort of library? Meh now that I think I'll probably just have to make it for grain.
What's your capacity and channels look like on your self hosted node?
Especially overkill if we're not dealing with any spans over 12 feet.
I'm not. This is the part I don't appreciate.
And ironic. Which one of us in the conversation is acting like the guy with the trumpet rn?
I made a statement and you're just memeing and gaslighting me...
Yes, but I think a it should consider different options, not just lightning, so you create different list for every payment method? Banks terrified. Good thing they're focused on fighting tether and not Bitcoin.
You realize you are just admitting you're a bad person right?
Why would you rather have more people needlessly struggle if there is an alternative?
Most of the global population would disagree with you. The numbers would also disagree with you.
If you think this game is working... You are crazy. I'm what sense is this game working for anyone but the people with hard assets that live in the US?
So? What's your point. I told you I'm done talking about it.
