Parents are stupid and can't be trusted to keep their kids safe.
There are already tools to monitor and prevent access to content for parents to implement.
But, it's not about that. They state that this will "make it easier to report harmful content and cyberbullying".
That's the real plan, policing speech, not blocking access. They need to know who has unapproved ideas, so they can punish them.
I have seen a lot of posts talking about VPNs this last week.
Such posts are truly sickening.
Every time a VPN is downloaded a child is harmed.

New, by me: Google refused to say if it received a secret UK court order, like Apple did, demanding the company build a backdoor for accessing encrypted user data.
Meta said it hasn't received one. Apple said it's barred from disclosing if it had one (it has!).
Google tried to dodge the question, and refused to explicitly state if it had not received a UK backdoor demand.

Freedom is a journey. They found one of the many first steps, even if by mistake.
Similar to capitalism, one of Bitcoin's strengths is that it flourishes even with the worst of human nature, i.e., greed.
Some percentage of those people will continue on the path. Some may not find it, themselves, but might be the catalyst for others to do so.
They need encouragement to a higher purpose, not our scorn.
