for reference i think that ad is for an upcoming show named lawmen

Weird artifacts my tv does

Trying out Start9. Couldnt get it to work in Hyper-V, but process seems to be ok with Virtualbox.

First thoughts on installing and configuring bitcoin...

1. This seems to trust Start9 marketplace as theres no clear way for users to verify signatures and hash.

2. Everything is exposed on various tor endpoints, which doesnt need to be and creates unneccesary attack vectors. For example

- rpc interface

- zeromq interface

3. On the plus side, some config options are explained and theres convenient qr codes and copy shortcuts for lengthy urls

4. Configuration is severely limited and its not clear how a custom config would be done. For example, only mainnet, no binding ip or setting external, no i2p, no detailed zeromq config, no transaction relay control.

5. Its UI is pretty, like a set top box appliance. I just find myself wanting to run commands and ill have to see how to ssh into this thing

Im going to let this do its sync thing in pruned mode to try some stuff before blowing it away for a few install index and i guess electrs since i couldnt find fulcrum in community section.

it can contain content to be rendered by a webpage or a server doing the transform, but otherwise its just a json data blob

When you remove a toilet, a new wax ring needs to be put in place after cleaning up the gunky one. it helps form a watertight seal between the bottom of the toilet where waste water is sent to the sewer/drain waste line.

The world and people in it are varied and diverse

Today I drove a bit and met up with some friends and we went into the city

Give yourself a point for each one of these you are doing...

to limited for me. people can transact however they agree to

Building on Nostr...

- Nobody can stop you.

- Anything is possible.

- Still need to do the business side.

- Isnt without cost.

- Just because you can doesnt mean you should.

- Public datasets allow more people (including you and your enemies) to exploit that data.

Negative. I saw there was some similar notes from someone in the Telegram group months ago. Ill spend more time on it tomorrow. If I cant get it going in a VM then theres it will be several months before i can get a bare metal machine.

yes, but i think it would be cool if the note was colored differently or outlined as an option. then again, so many other things worth focusing on

Failure to load Start9 in a VM. Not sure how best to get past this
