Amethyst user too?
Isn't any CEX eventually becomes what you call trash exchange? The root cause is centralization and vulnerability to regulation requirements.
I am not an expert in Push Notifications staff but isn't it common to send something generic like "You have a new message" instead of leaking plaintext of the real event?
Finally I did figure out the reason why verification fails - it is due to redirect from ivpn.net to www.ivpn.net
```
$ curl -I https:///ivpn.net/.well-known/nostr.json
HTTP/2 301
Well I am not using web client but an #Amethyst, so CORS should not apply to me?
IVPN is now on Nostr.
Following a conversation at Baltic Honeybadger with nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 regarding the pros and cons of 'company operated accounts on Nostr' + hearing talks on the future of free speech online, we are convinced that this is the right place (or rather, protocol) to be for us.
We've maintained a reserved, low-key presence on other social channels for many years. We as a team and as individuals prefer not to shout louder in a cacophony. While some companies thrive on oversharing for engagement and treating social communities as marketing funnels, such tactics don't align with our straightforward, no-bullshit approach.
For Nostr we are trying something different, without any compromise on these values. Expect more posts with direct opinions, in-depth analysis, privacy/VPN consultation and anything else that contributes to the community.
To anyone we've met at Bitcoin and other conferences over the years - hello! Nice to see you here. We are ready to continue the hundreds of conversations we had around trust, transparency, sovereignty, open-source ideals, LN merchant adoption, circular economy for Bitcoin and new radical ideas.
Reach out in public or private if you have any questions, ideas or suggestions. Let's do this!
NIP-05 verification is failing for me
I am discovering interesting accounts using hashtags - most of my feed is from followed hashtags
If you mean any of LN Address or zaps, I am sure that both can be automated as well.
Error is an error, no excuses here
Says Twitter user xD
I have made a proposal, please check if you see it and share, I am curious if how it looks too.
WoT relay stands for "Web of Trust" (follows)
I like hashtag usage and absence of any algorithms impacting ones "discoverability". But there are DVMs already and WoT relays thing that artificially limits who you can see in your global feed.
nostr.wine is one of the best paid relays I would say
For me they work only on incoming zaps
Well, paid relays are really good in filtering him. I use filter.nostr.wine
Paid relays are very good. I don't see the spam you are referring to for a weeks already.
I represent VPS hosting business, we do accept #Bitcoin and #Lightning
SMTP allows Proton to see the plaintext email when it is sent from outside or when it is sentfronm Proton to outside unless sender themselves encrypted in by PGP for example.
Try this:
```
p2p-use-ipv6=true
prune-blockchain=1
sync-pruned-blocks=1
in-peers=1024
out-peers=1024
```
Depending on how you are running the monerod, you will need to raise LimitNOFILE / ulimit -n, the safe value for the config snippet above is 4096
What compatibility you mean? In Amethyst hashtags are working, but I can only see logo after Amethyst hashtag, not Voyager one.
How do you earn sats?
Best responses will be shared on the show tomorrow and will earn a zap
#asknostr
I am running VPS hosting business (but out of stock temporarily)
I use Rspamd, but if I understood you correct the issue is with SpamAssasin filtering MUA connections. The best option is to disable RBLs for 465 and 587 at all. If not possible, you can consider making a whitelist or tor exits
Aren't hardest hardest things to achieve to gather content, especially video, are:
1. Platform (well, in case of nostr - protocol and related user interfaces like clients) popularity - few content creators will use niche solutions due to lack of viewers;
2. User-friendliness - there is PeerTube as an YouTube alternative, however it is both too expensive (for video storage and for bandwidth costs) for a single content creator?
