So if I only drink 12 what do I do with the other 12?
But theirs won't consume swimming pools of water tho right?
You're a better person than me. I just got to the point I dropped it and quit trying. I decided I wasn't going to be able to help those that don't want to be helped. If they reach out to me I'll help but they've to take the first step(s). Ball is in their court. My guess is when BTC is in the six-figure range they might...
I have that with normie relatives. Tried to orange pill them for a while but they don't want to study Bitcoin or put forth effort to learn - just want someone to download info to them and do it for them. Creatures of the fiat system with no intellectual curiosity, no motivation and no critical thinking skills. I gave up - some people can't be saved from themselves.
Thanks Preston!
Wait, I thought Grandpa Joe just said it was greedy corporations?!?!?!? And before that it was Putin's fault. I'm soooo confused......
It can be a bit of a rabbi hole but worth it according to a fren. Easiest is just plugging it in, figuring out the IP address of the miner on your local network, logging into it via web browser to configure it (mining pool setup) and then letting it run. Good videos on Youtube and other places on the interwebs. Then if you want to quiet it down you can mod it by removing fans, plugging spoofers into the unit so it thinks there are still fans connected and hooking up quieter fans (Noctua, A/C Infinity duct blower fans, etc). Another mod is to replace stock firmware with something like Braiins+ which will optimize to maximum your hashrate per watt (maximize your income/cost).
Kaboomracks is good
Spoofers are something like this

You can find A/C Infinity and Noctua fans on places like Amazon.
If you go the duct blower fan route you might also need an adaptor, which you can get on Amazon, eBay, from nostr:npub1lrjgpa9m2dl6esdah5pq7m005ymwh4glq4aet76q2zlz2f83esfsa2zvrj
rabbi hole and rabbit hole may be very different things. But I'm a slack-jawed yokel so I wouldn't know much about these things.

Argued this with my Tesla-owning nephew a few weeks ago. He said it can't happen with a Tesla, I said it has already been proven as an attack vector. Of course he said I was a conspiracy theory believing fool. I thanked him for the compliment and then quit debating since he is wedded to his perspective as an Elon fanboy.
This is the way.
Lots of folks weighing in on pros/cons of nostr:npub1qtvl2em0llpnnllffhat8zltugwwz97x79gfmxfz4qk52n6zpk3qq87dze and I'll avoid that conversation, but am glad to see a non-KYC pleb mining pool. It is like paying your utility to buy non-KYC sats and maybe getting home heating or some other side benefit out of it. I don't know if the non-KYC pools track IP addresses, which could be a footprint. Extra credit would be to run miners and any computer/phone mining pool dashboard browsing through a VPN. A fren uses a pfsense firewall with a load-balancing VPN gateway set up through Mullvad VPN (I hear IVPN always works, but ProtonVPN is problematic as their VPN configs use the same endpoint, as I recall). Fren says you gotta use good VPN servers to avoid excess latency which would increase rejection rate. Prob not perfect but any step towards privacy is a good. Good tutorial here if you are interested in going this route. Not sure if Econoalchemist is on Nostr but kudos for the great tutorial.

Congrats to the nostr:npub1qtvl2em0llpnnllffhat8zltugwwz97x79gfmxfz4qk52n6zpk3qq87dze team and contributors who have mined their first block💧
Small change in difficulty from their previous block.
Was it kind of shitty in the end?
The climate hysterics seem to ignore a small fact or two about glacial melt:
"But all that melting ice and snow does not directly boost sea levels any more than melted ice cubes make a glass of water overflow, which gives rise to an awkward question: who cares?"
Looking good so far. Need all pleb miners to start using nostr:npub1qtvl2em0llpnnllffhat8zltugwwz97x79gfmxfz4qk52n6zpk3qq87dze mining pool to keep the pool hash rate increasing!!
