Life is getting cheaper over time

now as i live with my parents after 7 years of living on my own, i now realize how much they needed someone here to help them. so caught up in fiat bs to realize the value of taking care of your loved ones while they’re still here. yeah, working with/for my dad helps tremendously, but i didn’t even realize how much was not being taken care of at home. Aside from being able to help them, the little things, they are what bring the life back to my heart, purifying the rottenness garnered from dwelling on the cruel world. drinking afternoon tea with them, studying on the dining room table, having morning coffee and eggs together, the laughs, the hugs, all of it a testament of how blessed I am. Thank you God for the day. Thank you God for life.

Government officials often use “security” as an excuse to take your rights. They’ll increasingly say they need to surveil and control your communications and payments to keep people secure.

How about starting with the streets and trains and such? If they were actually serious about security more-so than control, they’d make sure that basic stuff is sorted out first.
