Serious question: why is Primal crap? I've only used it a few times and didn't have too many major problems. I just tend to use noStrudel more often as it is more seamless and works very smoothly.
This goes beyond my normal interests that I normally post about here, but I just wanted to make a public service announcement: know your rights.
As a citizen, as an employee, as a person. Know your rights. Stand by them. Speak up when you need to. Refuse to comply when the State or your boss tries to force you to do something you don't want to do or know it's against your conscience.
Don't be a pushover. If something is wrong, say something.

Over the years, a lot of people have recommended uBlock Origin as a standard ad blocker for most browsers. I've dutifully installed and used it on most every computer I've had.
But today, I discovered that EFF has their own: Privacy Badger. And they've just made a new update: Privacy Swarm.
I don't quite understand all of the implications yet but will be reading up on this extension and its recent updates over the coming days.
If you're interested to get started too, check out this release article from EFF: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2023/10/privacy-badger-learns-block-ever-more-trackers

I'm not into $ARRR at all, but they've got a pretty catchy anthem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhRWM1WW6ak
This morning, I'm working through another chapter or two of "There's No Such Thing as a Bad Kid".
It's been interesting to see how many chances the author got as a kid, in spite of his bad decisions in life. It makes me question how many more opportunities I need to provide those I mentor and how I can offer them more positive reinforcement and encouragement.

Time is getting away from you. It's getting away from us all.
If you don't carve out time to read, to listen to educational podcasts, to explore that new topic that's fascinating you, it will never happen.
It doesn't have to be for four or five hours in the day, it can be just 15-20 minutes when you first get up. Crack open that book you've been wanting to read or turn on that podcast while you're preparing your lunch for work.
If you don't make your learning a priority, who else will?

Thanks for the quick reply, Doc!
To clarify, I meant using it in the form of mints, gums, etc. or even just 'rinsing' the mouth with it (sort of like oil pulling).
This is something recommended by Dr Ellie in the UK, but I haven't seen too many other dentists talking about this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2nGH4VgeAk
What do you think?
Docs, what do you think about the regular use of #xylitol? This is something that I learned about from Dr Ellie's book on dental health.

One of the big selling points of homeschooling is that it frees up a lot of time for kids to explore, play, go on outings, or to do just about anything they please.
Some homeschoolers I've known or worked with have said they spend 2-4 hours per day on formal learning, and then they have time to do other activities. Compare this to the 8+ hours a child might spend in a government or private school!
For the homeschoolers on Nostr, do you find the average times above to be accurate? What do you do with your kids outside of formal learning time?
For the non-homeschoolers, what would you do with all of those extra hours every week? Just imagine the possibilities!

Fascinating. Gold trading must be pretty popular there if the authorities are mandating KYC.
Are folks using the gold as its own sort of currency or something?
Just this morning, a friend and I were talking about information hoarding. While I can appreciate that there's so much that we want to learn about, there's no possible way we can consume even a fraction of the content available out there.
I'm embarrassed to say that my YouTube 'Watch Later' list has several thousand saved videos, everything from history lectures to Bitcoin mining stuff. And lets not talk about my browser's bookmarks, the articles I've saved in Pocket, the books in my Kindle, or the physical books on my shelves at home.
Are you, too, an information hoarder? How do you go about deciding what content to consume? How do you prioritize your learning?

Is KYC a legal requirement to buy and sell precious metals there?
I wonder if any of the original Parler team members have made it over here to Nostr. They'd surely be more than welcome!
Wow! I'm especially shocked about the raw milk. In a lot of countries, you can't buy it at all.
Is it easy to find there?
Interesting! Are there good sources of grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, and similar meats in Thailand?
Good morning, Nostriches! It's early start to Tuesday, but #coffeechain ☕ has me going strong.
Read a chapter or two 📖, turn on those podcasts 🎧, and learn 📜!
Is it better or worse when you have folks in upper management doing virtually nothing? At a number of schools and institutions I've been at, it's often the admins and managers who kick back and do very little, except harass staff for no good reason.
