Reddit is a hive of programmable drones. Remember wallstbets?

In fact, you can look at the steemit network for an example of a cult that sprung up from the reddit hive, that used many of the same techniques to bring on groupthink.

Always good to meet a fellow touch typist and mech keyboard fan...

The only thing I would like more than this keyboard I have now is if it had another 15 keys so it can comfortably have a dedicated numeric key section. As it is I already placed the arrows in the centre of the layout.

When I've got some time to spare I'm going to learn how to hand code these things because currently I have cyrillic, dvorak and qwerty, and the cyrillic I'm probably not going to use much anymore за съжаление but it's annoying because keyboards are programmed by the key location, so to do other languages you have to fuck around with layout switching or, what I haven't done yet - using the compose keys to make them press whatever I want. I want to be able to type portuguese symbols on this so at some point I have to spend a day or two learning how to do that. Compose keys are a pain as well because the systems are different on every platform, so I'd literally have to make one program for linux and another for windows.

I doubt you have this issue, most people just stick with the trad jagged layout and are not forced to make choices like this because nobody seems to understand that ortholinears with pissy little layouts like 40 and 60 are seriously messed up for real work.

I have an Idobao ID75 ortholinear keyboard with cherry silver. They trigger at half the normal pressure. Most "experts" say that this leads to a lot of typos but actually, no, though probably the average person is so dull and insensitive it would. For me it means I'm using a lot less energy and straining myself a lot less per volume of text.

In case you wonder how I type so much without injury.

Nostr DMs practically are email. They should expire on the server though.

Expiry dates on events would be a great thing for assisting in managing the volume of data to eliminate stuff that users don't need to have relayed any more.

indeed, and even there, a bad explanation for a thing that works is prone to change. The fact of it working, and the way to produce the device, do not.

hallucinations are not the same thing as visual effects.

you don't see things that aren't there on dmt, psilocybin, lsd, you see them distort and have pretty patterns on them but not fundamentally not there. If you want to hallucinate, you need to eat datura or brugmansia or amanita.

hallucinating is a very bad thing. Most people hallucinate that the government isn't out to rob them of every last penny they can get away with. Most people hallucinate that their phones are not spying on them. Most people hallucinate that it's ok to be 20kg or more overweight.

The AI's got plenty of proprietary parts in its programming. The algorithm is prone to hallucinating.

"The Science" changes because of marketing bullcrap.

Real science doesn't tend to flip flop. It grows organically and mostly only the newer things change as we move further outwards from them.

why the government? The money is owned by a cartel of private individuals. So is the government but put that aside for a moment.

They are trying to suspend gravity. They can't control the mass movement of money, only attempt to nudge it this way and that. Sooner or later gravity returns as the manipulations run out of power versus the facts of the market.

I severely doubt that even after a year honey's still got enzymes in it to any great degree. And it's hella fructose.

It's the most epic demonstration of what E=MC2 means. Christopher Nolan is a serial epic film maker, I think almost everything I have seen from him blew my mind.

Also, how do you do your fiat ramps? I don't have the convenience of a stable location and have had to contend with neobanks for several years now, and all of them basically you can't use them without play services, both Revolut and iCard refuse to run on a rooted device also.

I'm sure you know that google doesn't give the source of the firmware. There's basically no mobile devices, and no laptops or even desktops that don't have mysterious things in the firmware.

The kernels have a lot of mitigations for them though, but these bastards have the edge with their government protected monopolies.

I've been following the open hardware/firmware thing for literally decades. They don't want us to own our hardware.

Well, there's not a hell of a lot more they could be doing than google and co are already doing, at the system and firmware level.

I almost never use my phone anymore anyhow, I'd already have gleefully smashed it to shards if it weren't for needing my fiat offramp.

amethyst is really shit tho, seriously.

I'm too busy trying to code and also trying not to spend too much time here.

As far as criticising security and threat model flaws in anything, as a programmer I'd like to see such criticism even louder, actually.

People should not be blase about this stuff. Learning that it's not all peaches and cream should be lesson one.

As far as criticising other people's approaches to presentation, I say go ahead and say whatever you want but you're on shaky ground if you use collectivist arguments and plural pronouns and other such marks of weak thinking.

Criticising the users, on the other hand, you are very much in agreement with me. Specify the target of the criticism. If you wanna criticise newbies, you can go back to the mute list. Friendliness is the first rule of being welcoming. No amount of blunt hammering is gonna teach anyone anything except that you are a twat.

Not you, of course, you seem reasonable.

It has been more than a decade since we had this freshness and light we see with nostr. All the veterans of the distorted silo social networks don't know what is happening here, and that's awesome, cos they can stay the fuck away, tyvm.
