Privacy-protecting alternatives:
iPhone -> Google Pixel
iOS -> GrapheneOS
iCloud Photos -> Ente
iCloud Drive -> Proton Drive
iCloud Mail -> Proton Mail
Passwords and Keychain -> Bitwarden or Proton Pass
Notes -> Standard Notes (Proton)
iCloud Calendar -> Proton Calendar
Do not use Google services as some are not end-to-end encrypted.
Self-host if you can and know what you’re doing.

Just to be clear to anyone considering switching, if you get a Google Pixel, the stock OS is not particularly privacy-protecting (although it's likely better than e.g. Samsung's). You need to install GrapheneOS yourself once you get the phone.

I've heard people say stuff like this, but I really don't think this is true. I do think people prefer to live around those they grew up near and who, generally, hold the same basic values. This doesn't necessarily mean they're the same ethnicity, and it also doesn't necessarily mean they have entirely the same culture. For instance, I wouldn't want to live near some white dude swinging around a Confederate flag or spouting off about LGBT people committing sins or whatever.
However, IMO this is an argument for diversity. When children with parents of different ethnicities and cultures grow up together and interact, presumably their views and beliefs will be something of a mix of their parents' and those they grew up near (perhaps with the exception being if the parents are obscenely racist or something like that).
Likewise, I don't think there's a limit to celebrating "white culture" (I'm assuming you're mainly talking about celebrating stuff from various European cultures). I do think some people take their opinions too far and demonize white people (this happens in the other direction too, of course), which is obviously not good, but IMO this is the exception rather than the norm. It's just that the exceptions tend to be rather loud (especially on social media).
Does anyone know if there is any good metalcore or shoegaze on wavlake? Or something adjacent to those genres?

If it ain't broke don't fix it I guess
Tesla sales down 37.9% in Norway, 63.4% in France, 75.4% in Spain https://www.wired.com/story/elon-musks-toxicity-could-spell-disaster-for-tesla/

I mean if musk doesn't even think climate change is a serious issue anymore (rendering the entire existence of tesla pointless), why would anyone buy his shoddy cars?
Mullvad supports shadowsocks with v2ray, but that's it AFAIK. If the protocol used by obscura ends up being successful (as in continues to get through the GFW over the next few years), I wouldn't be surprised if mullvad eventually adds support for it as well.
The continued hostility of kernel devs to anything other than C is really just sad. I wouldn't be surprised if Linux is just eventually replaced in most cases (HarmonyOS and whatever Google decides to do with Fuchsia come to mind).
Little Bobby really gets around
This was written by a journalist who presumably regurgitated whatever their sources told/showed them, so no. Also sounds like it was still exploitable at least at the time the article was written, so probably wouldn't want to write about how to exploit a live govt site...
Except that has nothing to do with the article.
"One of the sources told 404 Media that they were able to push updates to a database of government employment information after studying the website’s architecture and finding the database’s API endpoints."
I'm assuming you're talking about the $9 million from the DoD (DARPA). It was issued to Thomson Reuters Special Services, which is a research-focused independent subsidiary separate from the news agency, to look into "automated defense against social engineering attacks." It was also awarded in the middle of Trump's first term, so if this grant was actually an issue, it's the Trump admin's fault.
It really shouldn't take much to realize this is Musk being completely unreliable/straight up lying again. Why would the DoD (or Reuters, for that matter), leave a paper trail so clearly connecting them to "social deception?" The line that Musk was going on about being on the purchase order is the equivalent of writing "food" when you Venmo someone.
Do you seriously think this? Firstly, Japan (like most Asian countries) is still very socially conservative, so homosexuality and feminism are clearly not the problem. Secondly, Japanese work culture is hellish, and they are *still* dealing with the consequences of their economic bubble that popped in the early 90s. Combine this with stagnant salaries, relatively high COL (unless you live in the countryside or something, but let's be real, everyone wants to live in Tokyo, Osaka, etc.), poor support for working mothers, and just general disinterest in dating, and obviously the birthrate will decline.
"Japan is the last stronghold for human civilization."
Give me a fucking break. I would be shocked if you weren't completely miserable if you moved there. There are great things about Japan, but there are many reasons most expats leave the country after a few years.
I've lived in South Central LA, which presumably is comparable to Atlanta for what you're saying. Still pretty anti-racist, although I really don't miss the apocalyptic number of cockroaches.
Lol "criticize"
I find it telling that you're happy that rather than trying to reduce racism and so on entirely, they've reduced posting restrictions so you can be racist towards others.
I have seen a ton of shit here that would be right at home on 4chan, so presumably it's who you're following + not looking for topics that bring out the bigots. Also presumably not doing many global searches, since I've seen literal porn by doing that.
If by "normal" you just mean racist and sexist garbage everywhere, then yes, it's "normal."
Also tfw you need to block Musk every few weeks because his account mysteriously unblocks itself.
