You can lead a horse to water, can't make it drink. Show a person some bitcoin can't make them think. Bitcoin devotee, not just on Sundays!

Within the shitshow of notifications, id like to propose we show the nostr devs some love. List of some devs in this note below. Zap them or say some kind words!!! πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Not in a place that's owned by bitcoin. 😜😜

Yeah. I agree. but one thing it also does assume is that the NIP verifier can 'keep up' with the caseload of all the reported impersonators I guess right? Cos they have to be able to debadge/tick accounts in a timely manner with good accuracy.

Perhaps a crowd source model here could work well. Don't know

Def would help. I guess for those who have a known domain/brand that peoplecabn verify by recognition. Like saylor verifying by microstrategies page would be a pretty strong verification.

I agree. Will def help.

I saw this a little while ago. Concept is good.

Crowd sourced reputation

OK. Just as one nip can be tied to a npub i gueaa.

But how do badges stop/limit impersonators? Not sure I get that bit

I have a suspicion that the impersonator problem on nostr is gonna get very real soon.

What thinking is out there on it in terms of solutions? To be future proof i guess it has to consider bots trained on previous public posts.

Nostr.directory goes some way into this obviously tied to Twitter. I see some crowdsourcing possibilities.

Anyone else got any thoughts??

Lightning --> lightening

Any room for decentralised social media in there??? 😜😜

that shouldn't be taken for granted.

There has been a bunch of interest in getting https://nostr.how translated into different languages.

So far, though, I've not found any i18n (translation) libraries I'm thrilled about for Next.js.

Does anyone have recommendations?

Would you be against a human translation for main ones like Spanish/French??

Lightning surely has something to do with it. But use case is the issue. It's coming tho (seeing the applications built on lightning).

There are some on Orange Pill app in hcmc. I didnt connect tho. We tried a couple of places on btcmap but they didn't take lightning.

Good country and people generally pretty happy. DM if you need any info. Happy to help if I can

Maybe the medal ceremony is taking a bit longer than normal. But bitcoin doesn't give a F. Its got all the time in the world.

Question will be whether nostr can keep out the craziness of corporate greed with all the apps built on it. At some point monetization has to happen and when that does will we follow on old 'fiat' style business models? Privacy is already an issue on nostr as I see with relays collecting everything you post.

Good point. Not something I had considered. Need an app built on top granting access to nostr account I guess

Anyone who ever complained about twitter, instance, WhatsApp,fbacebook or whoever. Your time has come to shape your own platform. No dev skills? No more complaining. Got a suggestion or feature, drop it here and add/contribute to a bounty.

Sick idea!!!

PV. 100% great move. Swapping clients and realising you have control is awesome. My concern is the privacy aspect on nostr. Not sure what is being done to address. But nostr is a huge leap forwards

Helping #[0] with a simple one page website for amethyst. Looking for comments from the community. Anyone have any comments?

What are they transporting there?
