Agreed, I’ve used this for 2 years, i just recently had one pipe fail because the joint must have cracked allowing air in.
Monthly, I will flush with a hose, just to get any air out. If next to an stone or bubbles in the water, put an elbow to prevent bubbles from rising into the pipe.

#grownostr #aquaponics this is a U siphon. Using 1” pvc, it connects two tanks water together. Glue the pipe with pvc cement, place in both tanks, use the hose and place on one end. You will remove all air in the pipe, which will make it level the two different tanks water levels automatically.

Cattle panels from tractor supply along with some bird netting. I’ve previously used wire welded fence, but not enough height.
I’d say plant anything. The main idea would be to protect from sun. I *try* to plant things every week. Peas, melons, tomatoes/peppers/carrots.
I just planted some sorghum, never used that before so I’ll see how that does. It is touted as very hardy, drought resistant, so I’ll assume it will grow fine in the summer.
