A moment of silence, #nostr, for James Earl Jones. An absolute legend who will be sorely missed. 😞

There’s a new Nostr client joining the fray and I have to say, it’s quite nice.

It doesn’t have all of the features you may have become accustomed to, but for a new app, all the basics are there and I’m sure they’ll add those features as time passes.

Versus an exchange, what’s the drawback?

Also, I should mention that there are plenty of wallets that have this function and I haven’t heard anything bad about them. Coinbase being one of the more well known ones. The problem is, they don’t have a lightning option.

It’s one or the other, you can buy bitcoin but no lightning capabilities. Or you get a wallet with lightning capabilities but no option to buy bitcoin.

To be honest, this still feels half baked. Maybe I’ll hold off for another year until they get their shit together, lol.

Are there any wallets that have btc/lightning but also the ability to purchase btc?

Zeus looks to be the best btc/lightning wallet but you can’t purchase anything with it, which means I would have to use one of the thousand exchanges to purchase it then transfer it to Zeus. That seems like more trouble than it’s worth.

This guy doesn’t even have to open his mouth, just stand there like the clown he is. What a joke.

They made it easier to use, could’ve just said that.

Why would drunks want to argue with a convicted felon, fraudster and insurrectionist?

my research was being part of a project starting a mining farm, lol, and the amount of power that we would need, is absolutely crazy.

let’s put it this way, the electric company would have to come out and build a small sub station to power them.

And round and round we go. If that were the case, there wouldn’t be any apps that allow it, but there are. And before you say it, popularity has nothing to do with it. That would be idiotic for Apple to allow some apps to operate unrestricted simply because they have a lower user base.

What you’re saying isn’t a fact, it’s an opinion based on the information you have available, and that’s fine.

My opinion, based on the information available, is that Apple simply doesn’t like Damus and I can certainly understand why.

So far, the only apps that I have found that require a purchase from the AppStore, are apps that have their own wallet built into the app. Primal and Current both have to pay for zaps. So, maybe it has something more to do with wanting to use your own wallet rather than using NWC to access your funds.

That’s slick

I’m sorry but this shit has me pissing myself laughing, it’s a great time to be alive.🤣

It’s interesting that you would mention facts when that’s all I have been trying to get out of you all day, LMAO.

I was curious what the factual reason for Apple, treating Damus differently, was, and I got my answer.

Have a great day.
