the other thing that is required also is that relays need to have configurable garbage collection strategies, so that you can have master/archival relays which get huge storage, and smaller ones that prune off stuff that have stopped being hot items to contain their utilization, so, archive relays and cache relays.

and then, yes, you further need a model of query forwarding so a cache relay will propagate queries to archives to revive old records, the caches could allocate a section of their data that is just references to other records, stored with the origin of the original, now expired event, that also is maintained within a buffer size limit, so they know exactly which archive to fetch it from.

lots of stuff to do... i started doing some of this with the original "replicatr" my first attempt at a nostr relay, implemented a whole GC for it, wrote unit tests for it... the whole idea was always about creating multi-level distributed storage. unfortunately no funding to focus on working on these things, instead i'm stuck building some social media dating app system lol

semi started me thinking towards this direction when we came up with the idea of creating an endpoint that allows a client to know the internal sequence number of events, as this allows pull side queuing, but i think push side queuing would work even better.

with just this one feature added, you can have a whole cluster of relays all keeping up to date with the latest from each other, with multiple levels of propagation as well as bidirectional so for example two relays can stay in sync with each other in both directions, this also requires extra state management so that they don't waste time sending events to subscribers that they got from subscribers in the other direction.

yup... all that's needed is some more experimentation with distributed dynamic cache strategies and more use of the pub/sub model... the sub side is there already, and can be relatively simply made to run, but push side needs to be there too, or at least, a model of subscription in which the emitted events are in a queue and when a subscriber drops, they get sent the backlog they miss in the interim. this isn't really that complicated to implement either, in fact, i wrote a sub thing using SSE but all i have to do to make it resilient is create a primary subscription queue and progress monitoring of subscribers and a slightly different contract than the best effort that is the current standard.

companies founded and supported to do work for military have infinity money to do whatever they like. apple, google, microsoft, boeing, airbus, mcdonald-douglas, etc etc. they have their market dominance because they get all the money they need to pay all the lawyers to lobby the government and basically outlaw competition.

if you look closely at the history of tech companies that got big and then disappeared, there is always funny little strange things happening, like Commodore, for example, was infiltrated and they basically took the company apart. their tech was too far advanced, i mean, any amiga fan would be able to relate to this - the computer had graphics acceleration coprocessors that would not see wide use in the rest of the industry until about year 2000, flickerless sprites, bulk memery copy and splicing processors... until about 2000 windows mouse cursor flickered. apple's didn't because they used a simple technique involving bitmasking, which i figured out how to do on a TRS-80 CoCo back in like 1987 just by reading Byte magazine descriptions of things and other programming oriented magazines at the time. even now we still don't have vblank sync that works effectively for 3d graphics but most 2d graphics apps now do actually have vblank sync (stopping tearing and flicker)

these military backed companies basically have slowed down progress of tech, and combined with the endless ways in which they prevent people entering the industry, mainly copyright laws and EULAs we have seen tech slow down massively since the inception of the microcomputer in the 80s.

even now, here on nostr, i can almost guarantee you that primal and maybe other major nostr projects have got links to people in VC who are actually working for military. primal especially, you look at the vibe and style of them they smell like spooks.

the tests were all staged, manipulated, and the bombings in japan were secret operations that they deliberately created a whole mythos around with things like magnesium flare bombs and larger than normal firebombs which they used all over japan already

nuclear power is legit, there is no doubt that if you form purified uranium metal into a ring and rod that you can move up and down to increase or decrease their surface of contact (it requires precision machining and the sizes of the two pieces) that indeed the uranium is stimulated to release a lot of radiation and especially heat, which can then be used to heat water to make steam and power turbines. but this is a bazillion miles away from making them have a spontaneous chain reaction.

gasoline explodes because its a phenomenon involving electrostatic charges moving around at the surface of atoms. the fake story is that you can have these materials catch a chain reaction before they overheat so much they start boiling, like happened in chernobyl and fukushima.

if you believe their stories then you gotta ask yourself why didn't those nuke plants explode? yes there was a small explosion in both cases but that was caused by hydrogen forming in the meltdown and that shit and a bit over 1000 degrees and yeah hydrogen will explode, think of hindenburg. hydrogen is the most convenient combustible material known, the optimum range for combustion of oxygen and hydrogen is very tolerant, compared to octane in gasoline, which has a very narrow ratio that has to be controlled.

if it was even possible, the optimal conditions to make uranium or plutonium undergo a nuclear chain reaction is like a sniper hitting a human head in hot, humid conditions at a range of over 5km. i think that has never even happened.

it's a psyop. just like the environment shit and the pandemic and all the rest of that shit. to make the military seem really impressive. but it's theatre. literal wizard of oz bullshit.

this new information that someone pointed me at, regarding the myriad of inconsistencies in the narratives around nuclear weapons has quite changed my mood

now i'm like, when i hear all these stories about nuclear weapons development, i'm like, yawn. it's just firebombs contaminated with uranium, they are not real, and nobody's city is going to get turned into a glass carpark or anything.

much more serious is the drone warfare. but even then, since i wish to have no part in any war ever, i also know that being away from industrial production centers and dense populations is pretty much enough because they can't waste their expensive resources chasing after hillbillies like me, there's just no strategic or tactical reason for it, it doesn't have the intimidating or terrifying optics, and in every case in history, when armies have been dragged into fighting mountain people it's a quagmire, the romans stupidly did it, the turks, vietnam and afghanistan were both also mostly wars by conventional soldiers against hillbillies, the lack of easy roads and the high expense of helicopters and the lack of ability to see through rocks the size of the average hill country makes them extremely bad places to try and attack with conventional standing armies. in fact very often in such places you can just hide out in caves and underground tunnels and such and they just pass over a few times and give up because there's too much cover and too much area to scan. this is why the americans used herbicides on the forest in vietnam, but still lost.

the debunking of several of these grandiose and improbable, in fact impossible weapons technologies has been a theme of the last few years for me. first was HAARP, which was probably a legit experiment at one point but completely failed, and was associated with the chemtrail spraying stuff. i already know well enough that a lot of what people call "chemtrails" are just the result of fuel additives used in commercial aircraft which have been promoted actively by military strategists and fostered by government as a way to improve weapons manufacturing. the main fruit of HAARP was probably actually some small improvements in radar imaging and orbital communications systems, which obviously are also entirely military use cases.

i'm not so happy about the drone thing tho, but i am not surprised because drones just are the latest chapter in a long arc of the development of ballistic weapons systems, in the 80s and 90s these were a big deal, and are starting to fade in importance because drones can be fully autonomous and without radio signatures and fly under the radar and strike targets intelligently, even, there is one project that made devices about the size of a mobile phone with shape charges that can recognise people by ethnicity and selectively target them.

these are a bit more scary but again, you still aren't going to send them out to hunt hillbillies, a shotgun is the main defense and the use of shotguns against small drones that are mostly surveillance has been extensive in ukraine so far, and this shit with iran... lol... a large proportion of the drones being used by russia are made in iran. i don't know how advanced israeli drone tech is but after all the shock and awe of recent days of barrages of rockets and jets firing rockets it's going to be the same thing, swarms of surveillance drones, suicide drones, the total failure of old school manouver tactics of warfare. whoever between israel and iran has the best drone tech and drone tactics will do the most damage to the other, and i strongly suspect that will be the iranians.

also, the whole story about nuclear weapons, coming back to the initial topic of this little tome... haha. it's a cover story for something else. if you want to pretend that some smaller country needs to be invaded, it has to have WMDs is the theme of the last 30 years of wars. syria had chemical weapons, and the west staged fake chemical attack videos, i mean... you literally can't trust a fucking thing that you see on video anymore. and i don't think this is new, the whole storyline around nuclear weapons has depended heavily ond scripted and prompted anecdotes, doctored photos and video, all dressed up with doomy music and made to either puff up one side or make the other side look bad... literally all a bunch of special effects and literal conspiracies being used to manipulate people into supporting war.

i don't want any part of war. war is always and only just some kind of sport for psychopathic megolamiacs who sit behind their shell companies and lobbyists to play chess with each other.

this is pretty hilarious, supposedly photos of nuclear blasts in bikini atoll... and isn't it miraculous that the little cloud doesn't seem to get torn apart as you would expect it to if that photo was actually legit

btw, this is a great read... just read a quote from Kurt Vonnegut's book Slaughterhouse Five, in which he describes the destruction of Dresden in WW2.

this was a fire bombing, not explosives but primarily high temperature oil based with explosive priming and hard shells to make a maximum amount of pressure before it bursts, they call them "saturation bombs".

these cause huge fire storms where there is so much heat that everything made out of wood nearby is basically carbonised to charcoal and the air is so turbulent from the pressure effect from the heat that it forms tornadoes briefly, sucking loose objects even as big as people into them to be carbonised.

after the quote from that book, it explains how most of the things associated with "nuclear" bombs is exactly the same as a saturation bomb, it's just a really fucking big saturation bomb, the nuclear part is propaganda. at most they may put a bit of uranium into it to make sure that geiger counters get happy because the usual main thing that uranium, and plutonium do when you smack them together is they liquify and then boil into vapor, which of course will then spread around everywhere with the turbulent fire that is the actual weapon.

this can even happen without radioactive material just from a mostly silica/metallic object like a meteorite, you may have heard of the "Tunguska Incident" or idk what it was, event... a large area of forest in siberia was blasted by some mysterious explosion - what it was was a meteor that flew past at a very low angle, and before it hit the ground it exploded, likely due to trapped gasses inside it that eventually built up so much pressure they blasted the rock apart that was at incredible (like 10k celsius) temperatures, and this then combines with the heat effect on all that carbon fuel sitting there in the forest, which then starts a combustion chain reaction, and it flattened several square miles of the forest to the ground, and blew down much of the forest for miles around that initial blast radius

nothing magical about fire bombs but they are just a natural phenomena being used by maniacs to kill people and a whole theatrical production was made that these very large fire bombs they made were made out of super secret technology that was in fact never really tested, didn't even have a decent integration test, and then supposedly it just worked the first time, and while that was happening, the supposed first nuclear bombs, the ones dropped on japan, were already en route to be loaded on a bomber and used to incinerate japanese people even though the emperor had already decreed they were to surrender.

i'm convinced now after reading this that stupendous amounts of the mythos around nuclear power and the space program has all just been a cover for funding much worse things like uranium tipped bullets and chemical weapons and biological weapons.

like even right now, why do you think that they are pumping AI so much? because they need as many investors to get suckered in as possible to bring the technology to the point where they can make drones the size of a mobile phone that can selectively kill people and target precise soft points in infrastructure.

probably the entire major stories of the whole of the 20th century are based on military plans. even the big highways and the auto industry and the way they are basically eliminating trains everywhere except ... trains are safer, quieter, cost less to build and maintain and are easy to electrify so they don't produce a lot of pollution around the residential areas they pass through. unlike cars. which stink, are noisy, the roads are more expensive to build, require more material and break faster, and kill more people. actually you can point at the boom in air travel in the last 20 years or so as probably being promoted to empower military industrial purposes too. because i'd rather travel across the ocean on a boat, myself. and on land, in a train, and when i get out of the train, i ride my bike back home, or even walk.

right now i have need of more house cleaning and kitty food preparation bandwidth lol.

It was really interesting living abroad because I got that impression myself. I was raised in military culture and the rah-rah we've got the biggest bombs and we won the biggest war we spreading freedom.

In Estonia I really learned how much the Soviets did to really win WWII. I learned how we had already been destroying cities in Japan with carpet bombing and it was likely the possibility of a Soviet invasion on Japan that was the true deterrent. It was really interesting, because the folks who were telling me all this super hated the Soviets for many reasons but they still wanted to vindicate them in my eyes because the death toll was so much for them and then we took all the credit.

It's very interesting to think the nuke might be a hoax. I'm still not 100% sold on the moon landing being a hoax though, so the nukes being a hoax is hard to swallow. But your points are valid and make a lot of sense.

October Sky was one of my favorite movies and it came at a time when we started doing rocket studies in class and I just loved the idea that someone from the Appalachian hills could knuckle down and do such amazing cool work. I felt proud of us landing on the moon, or having excellent rocketry, and it was a big part of why I studied so hard and have done as much as I've done. If the myths I set my aspirations around were hoaxes, I would feel very sad and cheated.

Often when we talk about hoaxes of any kind I have to just accept that I won't know, will likely never know. I just have to think of what story to tell myself to keep a positive mindset and to keep being productive and helpful to my community.

well, it's a good read anyway, and i've also penetrated most of the nonsense of the HAARP and woodpecker array stuff, and the chemtrails... all of them hyped and big budget military secret experiments that didn't work out to be very useful and instead became fodder for propagandists.

i'm inclined to say that underlying all of this is that probably to some extent, the potential for nuclear power to replace carbon fuels is also quite improbable, sure, the tech works and all that, after all, relatively pure uranium emits a lot of radiation which heats things up, but that has been kept from growing into an indutry by exactly the same thing that makes people afraid of The Bomb - a lot of elaborately crafted stories backed by a plausible amount of actual activity but the real goal of the operation was raking in government money to pay for the exhorbitant lifestyles of the criminal elites running these big corporations... and in reality, all they are really doing is running cover for a project to basically kill as many people as possible, even though none of their wealth would be worth anything without us to make the stuff they are strutting around with

first rule of war is if you are small, make yourself seem big, if you are big, make yourself seem smaller than you are. propaganda is the main weapon, and then after that is men with knives, bombs and rifles, and planes with rockets and bombs

the real enemy is humanity, and bamboozling people into doing insane shit is straight out of Jonestown

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/mp-materials-rockets-17-after-trump-admin-mulls-prioritizing-us-based-rare-earth-projects

rare earth minerals, required for high magnetic permeability motors for drones and for parts of various kinds of electronic components are far more important than uranium

reading this https://archive.org/details/8d-0de-2 i am definitely becoming convinced that the entire nuke thing, probably just like the moon landing thing, are propaganda tools and that all the "evidence" was your classic scientific hoax style staged, and simulated, and were in actual fact achieved using much more mundane technologies and for which reason there still hasn't been a terrorist nuke attack. since after all, all of the science is available, and the problem with the entire field of explosive nuclear fission has a severe problem of replication, which in any other subject of science would be a red flag of hoax.

drone warfare is the end game of modern warfare, but in order to do it, you have to be able to build stuff like the computers and displays you are reading this post on. and this is also why there is so much money in the AI research and why they are pumping it so hard, because even with all those neat-o motors and control circuits, the crucial thing that the drone has to do is behave like a kamikazi pilot, hopped up on meth, times a thousand.

the current arms race is about this and just to relate it back to what just happened in Tehran, Iran is a leading producer of drone technology. those persians are pretty good at math and computer programming, which is the magic sauce for drone war tech.

in my opinion, anyway, drone technology is superior to nuclear weapons. which funny enough nobody aside from a few documented cases have ever been used, and the ones dropped on japan were not plutonium based explosives, they were based on actual hydrogen, thus they called them "H-Bombs" and hydrogen, when ignited, with sufficient oxygen to initiate combustion - the ratio is very tolerant and will initiate with very low levels of oxygen, and this creates a flame that reaches upwards of 3000 degrees C, that is extremely impulsive, think like a petrol bomb, but make it the size of a car and under extremely high pressure, it is sufficient to emit so much light and infrared radiation, especially, that it effectively can flatten a whole city. but it's not plutonium. and all the other cases are specious in that they are hidden under all kinds of classification and it is entirely plausible that the claimed detonations were in fact staged propaganda and the technology, like HAARP and others, is in fact a fraud mainly to make a lot of money for owners of weapons manufacturers.

drones, on the other hand, are very much real, very effective, and are essentially like bullets that move a lot slower and have a potential to carry a much bigger bomb not just a fast moving ballistic object. they can enable striking specific people, there is devices that identify people by ethnicity and race, there is remote controlled ones but also fully autonomous ones, they are really the successor to the missile technology, which uses low altitude and small size instead of ever increasing altitude and speed.

ok it was already installed, i have added my simplex address to my profile metadata, click on my avatar to get at it

centralization of power has been increasing steadily since WW2... the entire pandemic stunt was a huge flex of their soft power capabilities, literally hypnotising millions of people into essentially committing suicide, or at least causing themselves long term severe and idiosyncratic damage, and it's not over yet, they continue to do gain of function, which should be called bioweapons research, and inevitibly "oopsie it got out" yeah right. just plant a powderkeg and then fling a lit cigarette at it and pretend it was an accident.

such vile lying pieces of shit murderous ugh

yeah, meanwhile massive soft-power attacks on the food supply have been going on for some time, likely partly orchestrated by china, this stuff in LA, the whole left wing is so clearly in alignment with the East and they are clearly trying to brew up an open conflict with mexico

for whatever random reasons, i have been reading #enoch again

i think i have now read through the ethiopian orthodox version, and have got part way through what reads like the jewish version

or maybe the first version is the eastern orthodox, and the second is the jewish, because to be honest i don't recall reading any of the text before and i read through an entire version about 18 months ago and there was some key sections that were missing.

it seems very obvious to me that there was a vastly larger volume of text tied to these versions, and all of them are either tiny segments or highly mangled tiny segments of the original text.

if you are christian, you would believe that Enoch was a real man and he did in fact write a giant tome that he passed on to his son Methuselah, famous for being the longest lived person in the entire text of the (catholic compiled) bible.

the first version i read was reasonably easy to follow, and even included a really nice summary of the calendar, and conflicts with the genesis assertion of a 360 day year, by saying that it was not 90 days per season but 91 (which is 13*7 btw).

this second version i'm reading seems highly condensed. i am going to have to scan the preface and contents and index to figure out what i'm actually looking at because the second text that i seem to be reading now seems highly disembodied and specious, although it clearly states that angels can mate with humans, almost everything else is incredibly fantastical, where the previous text seemed almost plausible.

the way the second part of this text describes God (who i interpret to mean the highest archangel, who presumably is Jesus) in ways that make him seem like a fantastical being and it repeatedly talks about creatures with hundreds of eyes and half a dozen wings and greatly inflates the likely facts of the angels being pale skinned to sound like they were glowing like their flesh was luminous.

it's quite instructive to see how inflated things can get as fanatics translate original texts and then add their "touch" to it.

like how tyrants rewrite the history books.

same vibes.

unfortunately it's most likely to get even worse in the next year or two. psychos tweak when there is a solar max and this one is maxxing harder because the magnetosphere of the earth is getting very unstable and weak (it's not an overly high max by historical records)

i'm mainly hoping that the people who are not have got themselves out of there. monsters feed until they explode, like demodex mites. their appetite for destruction only tends to get worse the longer it doesn't kill them.

yeah, here in madeira it's not so bad, and almost no mechanisation of anything because of the rugged landscape

if i was going to stay in a place like this i'd buy a patch high up the mountain and keep goats, milk and cheese and yoghurt and tasty bbq... and hand made leather clothing...

best way to lose weight is to increase the supply of precursors of satiety hormones to the liver. best one i know is stearic acid, best source i know is beef tallow, runner up is cacao butter. this was part of the reason why the south americans called it food of the gods (theobroma).

second most important thing for losing weight is fasting, and a 72 hour fast will reset your metabolism, and easiest way to do one is first to eat a lot of food with stearic acid containing fats. after eating ~400g of beef per day for a few days 24 hour fast is a piece of cake.

72 hours is challenging, but once you do it, you don't really need to do it again for another 6 months, and it will clear up a lot of things.

another element in this is avoiding allergens. the intestines can't digest stuff when your body is full of inflammatory cytokines. the most inflammatory foods are gluten and seed oils, and then after that, any high vegetable protein food.

not noticed, it's on recordings from satellite and space probe readings that NOAA and others are recording... yesterday there was a quite heavy, KP9 burst as well

what i noticed was the strange behaviour of my cat, my own feeling, and picking up vibes off other people around when i was up in town during the day, everyone seemed wired

i spent the last week not sleeping on the grounding sheet i have, for some reason, i don't remember why, but i put it on last night and me and #mochi the #catstr slept really well

since the solar activity is ticking up it should be interesting to see if it has a general overall benefit, i also have a mat under my desk that is earthed and conductive, which i touch down on a lot of the day, but sleep time is a lot of the time, and while it's in the lower energy night side possibly it's helping anyway with discharging the energy, i do feel a lot calmer and somehow, healthier

possibly this may also be because i'm now eating a lot of cod fish too, gonna have some fat greasy cod steaks for lunch today as well

#ragecoding is the opposite of vibe coding

you don't use anyone else's tools, you build everything yourself, you do it by hand, and you do it because you are pissed off at dweebs like you who write trash code and get lauded

yeah, it's also not just the geometry of the light emitters it is also the fact that they are flickering, most of them between 50 and 120hz, just wave your hand past your face quickly and you'll see the judder

i hate these things, at minimum they should have 400hz or higher flicker rate

another thing is the common cheap chinese driver circuits for them are usually made with poor components and then they start flickering later on... some installations they are so bright it's blinding, i miss incandescent lamps

i swear i can't see as well under LED lamps as i can with natural light sources either, definitely, colours are all screwed up

i've seen this at primorski park in Varna back in 2019, from the grid arrays on the lamps in the park, it's ugly, quite frankly

also, when i say shoot them i mean like you are legally allowed to shoot burglars and muggers

but they have such a big gang trading under the name "police" who mostly just enforce the racket

this is why i have actively sought to avoid employment under contracts that have these stupid contributions in them for the last 5 years, and i already knew what a racket it was back in 2007, it was heartbreaking to see how much money they were taking and if i left the country or the pension fund folded that was all just paying for CEOs private jets and comfortable retirement funds that they were allowed to put anywhere they want

it's a bit like if it was a town of pickpockets, i just never took any money with me unless i could travel in a carriage instead, and avoid all of their usual haunts

i'd love to shoot them like i would be justified in doing and permitted to do in some parts of the USA, but they shield themselves with so many protections, the only real way out is to stay off the record

the agent who handles my lease at this place even made a fun comment about how here i could "stay off the grid" which i thought was an interesting thing to say, when you consider that half of his work is pushing money around for the government.

as governments get more and more greedy and steal more and more, people eventually stop seeing resistance as bad form but instead it becomes a necessity

i probably just need to drop a bunch of follows i don't really like to read anymore, and maybe pick up some who i do

https://multiverse.ssl.berkeley.edu/Portals/0/Documents/FiveStarsCurriculumDocs/Multiwavelength%20Sun%20Images.pdf

this gives you some idea of the wide variance of light, especially note the ultraviolet, there is a wide difference between the darker and lighter parts, in general already there is sunspots but the bright areas are also quite varying in intensity around that, the dynamic range of the visible spectrum cameras is low, it would require a proper HDR capture to really see just how much the brightness varies

the UV also gives you some idea of how much the pops and zaps of those plasma filaments is constantly changing, on the Space Weather News channel he always starts the show with images of the sun as it is, animated, and the bright flashes that occur around the edges especially are easy to see how they would make what we see from far away fluctuate randomly

planets don't fluctuate in their bightness so much because they absorb a lot of the light and diffuse the light widely across the surface, so they appear not to flicker in the same way... they also get darker just like the moon, but being further away you just can't see them at all when they are at an angle where the bright side is facing away from you
