I fully support this PSA

I've been doing carnivore for almost two years now. I lost 90 lbs. It can get tiresome some times, but whenever I slip and eat horrible, my body feels like absolute crap. So at this point I'm stuck with it 😂🤣

Yes I have a DIY Start9 on a super capable mini PC. Using my primary PC as a terminal and running Sparrow. I’ve had no issues connecting via Electrum for connecting wallets, and using a 3 TB backup USB drive connected to my Start9 for doing routine backups but I think this Webtop Linux VNC might be incapable of recognizing USB devices from what I can see in the documentation.

The main reason I was interested in embarking on this exercise was as a way of having a backup deployment of Sparrow if my primary PC terminal ever goes down I can just connect to my mini PC Start9 from another computer (after sharing the SSL cert) without necessarily having to run sparrow on the second computer. Like if I ever have to just toss my Start9 in a bag and leave.

I am also thinking I might just set up a dedicated largely offline Linux laptop as a more portable backup deployment of Sparrow. The end goal being to never be without the ability to conduct transactions from cold storage if my main PC goes down.

I’m just starting to research switching all of my BTC stuff over to Linux because I am so done with Microsoft’s privacy violations. I’m thinking a laptop might be an easier way to go.

I can’t find any crossover access between the Webtop file system and the file system storage for the rest of the apps like Sparrow. I imagine that segregation is by design.

I wouldn’t burn a bunch of time on it but I was just doing it as an experiment because I like fucking around with this stuff. Thanks for the comment. There is very little documentation on novel uses of some of this software.

Start9 itself is notorious for not supporting random crap.

I tried on an old Dell and it didn't work. Thankfully found a compatible Dell at work I could use.

Tried everything through their support but no one could really help. They have some drivers but not others... It's kind of annoying that some things work while others don't. And they don't even have a real compatibility list, it's just a list the community has put together.

I really like their setup. I might try a different node software on the Dell I couldn't get to work with them but not sure yet.

Gemini exchange is available in 60 countries...I don't know about the credit card. Can't find specific info. Just go to the website and try to apply.

It's for random users. Not guaranteed

I don't think so.

"Fiat Food" by Matthew Lysiak followed by carnivore diet by Dr Shawn Baker.

I realize you didn't ask for this opinion so feel free to disregard, there's something fishy about Kruse. He's got lots of interesting things to say, but his following is almost cult like... And the dude himself can't get to a healthy weight. IDK just something seems off.

I do 5x5 Monday, Wednesday, Friday. There's two workouts. A: squat, bench press, pendlay rows. B: squat, overhead press, deadlift. You alternate workouts every time. Do 5 sets of 5 reps for all exercises except deadlift, only 1 set of 5 for deadlift. If you complete the 5x5 set, next workout you add 5 lbs.

The other days I make sure to walk 3 miles.

I take protein shake; ice, small amount of water, protein powder, and raw milk; after every workout and use it for lunch replacement on weekends.

Carnivore diet all the way for meals. I skip breakfast and eat 2 meals per day.

The only other supplement I take is creatine monohydrate. 5 grams per day.

Has anyone messed around with using the nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll webtop version of Sparrow Wallet and have any input on how to get around the lack of USB device support for exporting, signing and importing PSBT’s and final signed TX files?

On the file system browser in KasmVNC (Start9 webtop) I can’t even navigate to a sparrow directory. Conversely, I can’t find PSBT’s that I’ve saved through Sparrow on Start9 anywhere on the file system.

Hmm... If you don't get an answer by this weekend, I'll try it on my server.

Did you DIY yours? Or did you buy one from them?

Mine is DIY which is why I'm asking. I've heard on their community servers of other people having issues getting external drives to connect. I use Sparrow on a separate computer and connect to the electrum server running on my start9

The corp I work for uses them as backup internet. Works pretty good but we also pay for the 1TB priority access. My boss used a mobile plan for remote access, he even did teams calls with no problems. It provides a decent internet experience.

You know, I just wrote this but I remembered:

They did a study against prejudice, when a person has a belief and you show them irrefutable proof to the contrary, it was something stupid like 95% of people actually believe the wrong thing HARDER.

#Bitcoin is showing us this in real time.

Very few people can change their mind when presented contradictory evidence. I'm glad to be surrounded by people that will call me out on my bullshit and get me to change my mind.

This community is invaluable for that.

Hahahahaha! "95% of trading is fraudulent"

I've said it before, I can't understand how people can look at the best performing asset and tell themselves, "Everyone that buys this is stupid and I'm smart for not making money"

GM #nostr!

Back to the fiat mines after vacation for me. Hope you all had a great New Year!
