🚀 Burn After Reading v0.1.6 is now available for StartOS.
Live demo sites available at:

Burn After Reading is a free, simple, fast, standalone pastebin service for sharing messages and files using ephemeral links.
StartOS is an OS. It doesn't run on Windows, it replaces Windows
Is there a way #StartOS can work with the two ssd’s on my machine?
Currently it only recognises the one I did the install on.

No, this is planned for a future release. Right now StartOS supports a single drive for service data.
You can pick up a Server Pure here: https://store.start9.com/collections/servers/products/server-pure
🥳 Announcing TWO new services on StartOS!
1. Stable Diffusion is a text-to-image AI, similar to Midjourney
2. FreeGPT is a chat AI, similar to ChatGPT
Both are self-hosted and uncensored, running privately on your own server, accessible from anywhere.

nostr:npub1aghreq2dpz3h3799hrawev5gf5zc2kt4ch9ykhp9utt0jd3gdu2qtlmhct and nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll I’m curious… what are your takes on BIP300? And what options do your users have with choosing different versions of bitcoin core?
User choice. Your node, your vote, your risk to take. If we determine there is sufficient market demand for a given fork and it doesn't violate our principles as a team, we will package it ourselves. If there is not sufficient demand or the fork violates our principles, then someone else can package it. StartOS is an open platform.
one of the only reasons i dont have nwc configured. other reason is that i wish i had nwc on my own node, but i'm running nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll and there is no service for that today. i tried setting up your nwc repo but it seems to really want to be run from the same system where lnd is running (doesnt like a copy of tls.cert and admin.macaroon ??)
Would be cool to see this on StartOS, wasn't aware there was a server compontent
Good morning!
Silly question but I’ve set up a private Nostr relay on my nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll pi set up. I added my .onion relay link to my nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 .
Do I need to be connected on my phone via tor when I use Damus for my account to sync to my relay? Or will it always be syncing my data but just not publish anything unless I’m connected via tor?
New to all this apologies if that’s a silly question!
Damus will sync with your relay if Tor is enabled using Orbot.

ℹ️ Pro tip: after updating to StartOS v0.3.4.4, be sure to use HTTPS (instead of HTTP) when visiting your StartOS UI over Tor. It is way faster!

That makes it more interesting. My guess here is that the write speed to the drive is causing a buildup of disk cache, which uses memory but wouldn't necessarily show it as being used. You're almost there.
If you are using a Raspberry Pi 4GB, this is a known issue with no known solution: https://github.com/Start9Labs/start-os/issues/2336
We do not recommend the Pi 4GB. The 8GB should work just fine.
If this is an 8GB Pi or similarly powered device, this could happen if you are trying to sync too many things at once, like electrs, LND, or BTCPay along with Bitcoin.
Crazy simple guide for running StartOS on your Mac M1/M2 at near native speeds.
Total setup is 5-10 minutes!
This is a great way to experiment with StartOS or to run a permanent server.

mkfs.vfat automatically selects a fat size based on the size of the partition. It doesn't really matter, as it's only for the boot partition.
At present we do not. We have a Matrix group though: https://matrix.to/#/!lMnRwPWnyQvOfAoEnD:matrix.start9labs.com
Should I enable system-wide Tor for nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll using MacOS Terminal or does that mean my laptop basically becomes a permanent Tor machine? Ie for everything else I do online (and then perhaps slows things down)?
If you follow our instructions, your Mac will only use the Tor daemon for connecting to Tor websites.
