State-sanctioned holidays already have no meaning to me. Give me festivals to celebrate the solstices and equinoxes on a Lunar Calendar.

I'm wondering if this is why Zap Stream is getting DDoS attacked. They can't cut the stream if something that's "not allowed" gets said.

This is why I'm getting out of the credit system altogether (inasmuch as it's feasible at any given time, and yeah it's an uphill battle but I think it's necessary as well).

The data thieves want this data to open lines of credit in our names, parasitizing off of our hard earned credit history and credit scores. But that doesn't work if we don't have credit because we don't need it. We can only do so much about what's already out there, but we can make ourselves harder targets going forward. Bitcoin makes this possible.

What is your favorite shopping client on Nostr? I'm aware of nostr:nprofile1qqsd73mv4ayg306an8r2wy82dt5585lxj0ffehr4cnhlrnakxjpehwqla643m and nostr:nprofile1qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq32amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwv3sk6atn9e5k7tcqyz3hzx9y3z8q955wsanupr927ua5n276cwg66ll33gcy3y0yzmwrxpqpgtn

Bonus question, what do you want to see in Nostr shopping clients that you currently don't?

If a state or its proxy, they don't like livestreams that they can't cut off, I suppose? As someone else said, what can we do to help?

Exactly my first thought

Just have plans for both, that way if they mean one or the other you still have an answer.

When Nostr-connected gamestore and games?

Wait until the protestants start putting vape in those things.

However you feel about the term "genocide" to describe Israel's actions in Gaza (it against Palestinians generally), there's is absolutely a deliberate effort to ethnically cleanse the region.

I was that kid (and adult) who stable the pickle juice. I also drink apple cider vinegar several times a day.

I agree, but I sympathize with what he's saying and I think he has a point (anti-spammer speaking here).

They get what they deserve, and I have to accept that. Life's tough enough for one, I can't live theirs for them too.

I walked to the Chipotle that's 1.5 miles away and didn't have to worry about sweat soaking my shirt until I was about halfway back.

It's the ultimate outcome of modern collectivist government theories, whether they begin more communist in structure, or fascists. As power gets more and more centralized, all of the corporate monopolies (of which government is one) eventually begin to bond together and there's no difference between them.

He's not wrong on the first part, but tying them in nice strongly with the government will only increase the waste in spending.

An interesting thought though is that admissions and follow through like this can at least present citizens with stronger legal arguments against corpos that informed on their rights (assuming the already largely corrupt courts rule in accordance to the Constitution). In such case, it's important for us to watch carefully and call out the hypocrisy and illegitimacy of such government/corporate actions on those grounds.

Except she takes off an article of clothing for every word you put in

From now own, if someone asks if I "understand", I will reply "no, I stand", or of I need to exert authority, "I overstand".

This is why I think it makes sense for creators to build communities on Nostr. So when creators on YouTube invite viewers to "join the community" on Locals or Substack or whatever, we can point viewers to a community on Nostr and then they'll wind up with an npub that they can use on other Nostr apps too.

What's the user experience on Chorus so far?

Same thing.

The U.S. a la Palantir will quickly but silently catch up and out speed them.

As does the experience with any industry that has no real competition or other pressure to improve.

Excellent questions! And as I haven't said in while now: compliance leads to extinction.

EVERY transaction must have a price to BOTH sides, a mutual exchange. If this isn't the case, then the side extracting the cost exclusively from the other will habitually extract more and more until neither side can be supported anymore (a self-unregulated parasite).

Its been a while since I've put it to the test, but it seems to have gotten better. Though I'd warrant that's due to specific effort on the part of training engineers as it has been a high profile problem.

Yes, and in such nice and orderly little rows. Very well behaved tomatoes.

AI has gotten great at visual detail, but it is still mishmashing its outputs in discernable ways if you know what artifacts to look for.
