...kicked around? I don't think I follow.
You do you, I’ll do me, together we’ll be us ❤️

When my therapist recommended that I take up a creative hobby he probably didn't mean me spending even more time on my computer... but I really like making weird AI/Photoshop pictures! So here we are.
I've been working on this one a while and I'll probably do different versions of it. But this is a mix of Restaurant at the End of the Universe with a 'this is fine' vibe. What ya think?

this is kinda how it always goes with new things, yes?
grifters do a damn good job of jumping on a bandwaggon and trying to streer it in their direction.
What we have to do is understand what's happening and not become enamored with them. ....if you are secretly longing for wealth, fame, and/or power... they will get ya.
that's who shows up to the fancy event. And now it might be who is loud on TV. But we don't have to go anywhere.
Don't ya just love it when a song just really, really captures an experience?
Miley Cyrus' Something Beautiful is the date night were all striving for lol
It's the moment of looking at your date across the table half a bottle of wine in when you’re just hopelessly enamored and it’s painful to not touch them 🤩🔥🎇

It been called all sorts of different things throughout time and in different places. It is a fundamental misunderstanding of reality. But a very understandable one as it is at times necessary.
Buddhists might call it attachments. Meditators might call it failing to be here now. Psychologists might call it magical thinking, or being comparative. I tend to call it outcome pressure. But whatever you like to call it, it will $%^@# you up.
It’s a failure to understand reality. You control nothing but yourself. You can not chose the outcome, you can only chose your actions. And we suffer whenever we get the idea that we can or should control anything outside ourselves.
You gotta read this book I just finished! It’s called “Come As You Are” and it’s about women’s sexuality. If you are a woman, if you do or plan to get into bed with women, or if for any reason at all you care about women’s sexual well being, you gotta read this book!!! Really, it’s the map to where you want to be.

MidJourney is therapeutic for me in a weird way. I have these weird conceptualizations in my head that are tough to put into words... and yet some how easier to turn into images.
I don't think I can explain it very well, but these two images are of the same thing just looked at with a different understanding. It's kinda different ways to conceptualize a "life path". ...do ya know what I mean? No. But that's cool lol

AI is going to make in person education a lot more popular. Don’t believe me? Here is the conundrum I was pondering this morning.
There is this book that I want my kids to read and really, really ponder. But how can I be sure that they do that? They are clever people who have access to ChatGPT!
I can give the book to them and asked them if they read it and they will say “sure Mom, I read it.” I can ask them to write a book report for me and they will spend 2 mins getting ChatGPT to write a report and email it to me. Okay, I can ask them to hand write the report for me. They will hand write the report that ChatGPT created which will take them 20mins and maybe they will absorb ~2% of the knowledge of the book in that process.
The only way I can be sure that they have read and really thought about the book, is to ask them to go on a walk with me and give me all their thoughts on the book as we walk.
Post AI, tests will have to be in-person conversations.
yup! it's like a little trip through hell. good times.
What is your self-concept?
Did you inherent it from the world around you, or did you consciously choose it?
Who or what group do you draw your understanding of yourself from? It's important to know as that person/group is your master.
Self-concept is destiny.
Over the past ~4 years as I’ve been digging into human psychology I’ve been trying to find a way to conceptualize panic attacks. I’ve talked to a variety of therapists, I’ve read all sorts of frameworks, cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, the mind body connection… but I think I just found it in a book on sexual health of all things.
Here is the idea… This book walks through stress responses (as that is certainly very relevant to sexual responsiveness) and it discusses where these stress responses come from and how they function with the metaphor of being chased by a Lion. Then the author talks about self criticism and says… “you become the Lion”, and boom, that’s it!
A panic attack is this sort of downward spiral that you can’t escape from. Imagine you are in a fear state as you are being chased by a Lion… but you are the Lion. You can run faster and faster but the Lion will still always be there. ...I can feel my heart rate increasing as I type! That’s it!
And so if we have an analogy that works, that gives us a solution of sorts. Stop being the Lion.
How many relationship issues are caused by couples blindly accepting the “traditional” one-size-fits-all relationship model?
I love the concept of designer relationships. You can just make your own rules! Do whatever the @#$$% works for you and your partner.
Ha, smart lady. I've not read any of Hite's work. You think it should be on my reading list?
There is this Trevor Noah clip where he noted that in some ways the racism in South Africa was better because it was so blatant. It makes it easier to fight against when you don’t have to also prove to people that it exists.
I think about that when I see these types of posts from the red pilled dudes. It’s so blatant, so clear. No one can deny that they actively seek to repress women. ...it’s nice that what I’ve been saying exists for years is now openly telling the world that it exists.

There is this idea, and some experiments to back it up, that 80-90% of the population will just go along with what they are told and don’t pay attention to the world. They will all push the button that they are told to push. They will believe what they are told to believe. And then people expand from that to say that society is doomed, or that people must be controlled or manipulated. Or they use this bit of data to feel superior. Or say that the world can only be saved by this 10%. There is some truth here, but it’s more complicated.
I think about it this way… most of us spend most of our time existing in that NPC 90%. We can’t be experts on everything, we can’t pay attention to everything. We just don't have enough time and energy for that. But, in some area of our lives, most of us also exist in that 10%.
So instead of thinking you are the elite 10%, or feeling bad about being the NPC 90%, know that you are both!
In some areas of life you just go with the flow, and in other areas you are an expert. Know which ones are which, and serve humanity by being that bold 10% in your area of expertise.
To exist in time, without changing... that is death.
Does that make sense in your head? It makes sense in my head.
And maybe there is no winning. Maybe this universe is the Kobayashi Maru universe and the whole point is just to play your cards well and go out with some honor 🫡
You can have a drink in any Sci-Fi universe of your choosing, with any character from that universe, in any location in that universe.... what are you choosing???
Old school men take it as a threat to their sense of value and purpose when a woman challenges them on a decision.
This places such immense and damaging pressure on these men as this is a very fragile self concept that is outside of their direct control, and it pressures women to censor themselves.
We've spent the past few generations teaching girls to break out of their gendered roles, but we didn't do the same for boys. So now we have a generation of young men adapted for a world that no longer exists. We need to help them break out of their old-school gendered roles as well.
Evergreen

Generally true, but also, there are times when "all the experts" are indeed wrong. And once you experience that in your life, you can't blindly trust again.
The answer is do your own research, but be humble. Sometimes "they" are wrong, and sometimes you are wrong.

Being a young woman in the 90’s was shitty. I lived as prey. Things are so much better now.
Yes there is still a lot of misogyny to deal with. My daughters know who Andrew Tate is 🤢
But now is better, the misogyny now is blatant and cartoony rather than subtly accepted by everyone. Upgrade!
Good morning. Find yourself some true love!

Good morning. Stay humble.
