Handyman engineer. I bounce from project to project. I'm often called in to do the finishing touches, bringing 90% complete projects over the finish line. I'm good at making disparate systems talk to each other. * Zaps powered by nostr:nprofile1qqsf07zg4hxyccnkdp07fppxmetpfzru3fg6mgzx3nk8r7af8qnjjyg76vulm * On-chain powered by nostr:nprofile1qqsvxq03xdev3uxehjqcdkr5lfzl5vawmcf7vm6ps73m6ghwg8y4k2shaefxp *Always Buy the Dip* #privacy #security #linux #Android #networkengineer #infosec #SimpleX #dogs #cats #pets #cooking

Happy Bitcoin can't stop laughing at Twitter

Yeah, but I wasn't sure that what's being discussed is just a version of that on Nostr. Or if it was general talent contest related to nostr. Which is why I asked.

Happy Bitcoin is losing his shit over the new $100k+ price!

What the shit is this? If a plant sheds a leaf, and it falls on the floor, and then later on staff comes through with a broom and throws it away, it's trash. Picking up trash and taking it home for whatever reason isn't theft. I'll die on this hill. In fact, I'm going to the garden center tomorrow to this exact thing. I'm gonna propagate the biggest succulent plant ever known to man from the trash leaves their plants have shed. Then, I'm gonna put it's picture on a sandwich board and parade myself all over the garden center showing people what they can do if they go pick up leaves from the floor. I'm doing it.

Nevermind. I found the dismiss function. Lol My bad.

This is a for-profit, centralized mindset that completely misunderstands what nostr is, and how it works. There are thousands of free relays run by individuals. People aren't going to suddenly stop running relays. As nostr use grows, so too will the number of free relays. I'd say free relays are the glue that holds nostr together. Sure, lots of people go on to subscribe to paid relays, or run their own paid relay, but free and open relays are absolutely necessary to handle new users, and supplement paid relays.

There's no pressure on this system that would make it dissappear, so this idea that nostr needs to centralize and become a paid service is ridiculous. People aren't going to pay for relays before they've had a chance to actually use nostr. And if we only had paid relays, the active user count would plummet. I wish people would think before posting declarations about what is needed.

It has native NFC support for the Coldcard Mk4 and the Q, as well as Portal.

I just one running on damus

and another running on nos.lol

Doh! I knew I was gonna sound dumb, but I couldn't figure how so I posted it. Lol 😂 So much derp, so little time.

Well, my nostr1 relay seems to be fine, so I guess this nuking didn't effect the relay.tools paid relays. Which is nice. I always prefer normal operations to nuclear wasteland. Amethyst seems to lean heavily on the rebroadcast function. Perhaps that at least partially explains the activity you witnessed upon nuke?

Wish your stack a happy 16th birthday!
