I haven't even had many issues with websites. I would say 95% work just fine. And the only apps that don't like the VPN are Hulu and Paramount.
Lolwut? No, I run a full suite of apps, including apps downloaded from the Play Store, GitHub, F-Droid, and Zap Store. I run all sorts of apps and games. Everything works just fine with the VPN (ProtonVPN) and Orbit.
Seriously, I'm so confused. I run a VPN all the time and don't have any issues with my Apps not working. I'm just wondering how bad their config is.
nostr:npub1yzvxlwp7wawed5vgefwfmugvumtp8c8t0etk3g8sky4n0ndvyxesnxrf8q #yakihonne #asknostr ... How could I see all the notes where a particular npub is mentioned? For example "@Rizful.com" ... we would like to be somehow alerted to all mentions of our npub? Or even just have a stable URL where we could see them?
If you're on Android, the notification manager, Pokey, alerts you to mentions of your npub.
Who are these commies? I don't think I've run into any of them on Nostr.
Oh man... That 6G will strip your skin right off, and steal your wife. I do nightly patrols to keep 6G outta my house!
You gotta watch out for that 5G! That shit'll ruin your whole life! 🤣
A friend asked me today for some advice on how to secure 5 million sats in a single UTXO for 18 years. A gift to their niece to spend in the future.
Assumptions:
- No one will be around to guide them through the process of spending / using the BTC
- Durability and ease of use will be weighted most heavily
- The securing method has to last 18 years
- Ideally self custodial but all answers will be looked at!
Best answer will be zapped a 5,000 sat bounty! #sats

You should take a look at nostr:nprofile1qqsvxq03xdev3uxehjqcdkr5lfzl5vawmcf7vm6ps73m6ghwg8y4k2spz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqz9nhwden5te0dehhxarj9eekcmm5dpujuamfdcq3yamnwvaz7tmsw4e8qmr9wpskwtn9wvuasnac's Inheritance Planning service. You can set up a plan for your non-custodial funds to be transferred to people you choose once you've passed on. It guides the recipients through the process of claiming and receiving the funds you've determined for them.
The only time I drop below 30% is if I'm out of the house for an extended time. I usually maintain 80-85% charge while I'm at home or work, and then charge to 100% right before I head out so I have a full charge when I'm out and about. If I'm away from home or work for a long time, dropping below 30% is a possibility. But it's pretty rare. I try not to be away from an outlet for such long periods of time. When I do return home, it gets charged back to the 80-85% level again. It's worked pretty well. I've got one device that I've been using for 5+ years and battery performance hasn't degraded.
Yeah, I've got an @npub.cash address that sends received sats to my Cashu wallet. I'll have to play with it to see if I can figure out the P2PK option for sending tokens. 👍
My phones have a setting specifically for this. It's called Battery Protection on Samsung. It stops charging when it gets to 85%. And on the newer phones it has a basic setting that cuts off at 85% and an advanced setting that sets the cutoff based on your particular useage patterns. So sometimes it could be 85%,snd other times it could 90-95%. It fluctuates. In any case, it's a smart thing to do especially if you anticipate using the phone for 3+ years. It's not as important if you're someone who gets a new phone every two years.
If you tipped a Cashu token in a comment to someone, wouldn't that token be redeemable by anyone? In my experience with Cashu tokens being posted in notes and comments, the token can be claimed by anyone who gets to it first. Is there some way to tie a token to a specific recipient so that only the intended recipient can claim it?
I would imagine that most stay in shelters during the colder months. I'm not an expert on homelessness in the Artic so I can't really say how it works. But I know there is homelessness in the Artic.
There's probably shelters, just like everywhere else.
What do you want? A receipt for the meals? GTFOHWTBS This is credible reporting based on witness statements. If you have information that disputes it, put it up. But what you're doing is a classic tu quoque fallacy (whataboutism) that dishonest people use to dismiss information that's inconvenient to their beliefs. You've presented absolutely nothing to refute this. Your argument is basically, "Nuuuh uhhh", and "Oh the other side did the same, blah blah blah." President evidence that refutes this, and evidence that "the other side" has engaged in similar overt propaganda. Stop being intellectually bankrupt.
I suppose just like you can become homeless anywhere else?
And there it is. The defensive whataboutism. I'm not entertaining that intellectually weak BS. It's just a dishonest way to dismiss inconvenient information. And honestly, I think you're better than that.
