Going to be finishing late, but still going to finish. #75hard #grownostr

My wife has instructed me that I am to search our new land and find a pecan tree on it. And if I can't I am to plant at least one.
4 eggs again today from the #americanbresse. No weights because I made a pocket omelette on my way back in. #chickens #grownostr
I should have just planted garlic this spring. I missed planting it last fall.
Chicks - miss formed, now what?

I cull. When I was first starting I'd try to save anything, now I realize it's not worth it.
Back to four eggs from the #americanbresse. Weights were all medium 1.75, 1.81 1.86, and 1.87 oz. #grownostr #chickens
Looks fantastic!
Have you finished IPPs? How are they on feed conversion?
Sow the Land has a great video course online. It's how I learned and did it myself. Been processing my own for a little over two years now.
IPPs are one of the breeds I'm considering. Any negatives about the breed you've experienced?
It works great. Once it gets up to temp I just turn the heat off and the residual heat will keep it warm. The brand is Coffee Gator and this is their first gen. They have an updated one. but this one has been working for a little over four years for me so I haven't upgraded yet.
Good morning Nostr! #coffeechain #grownostr

Thoughts on goats versus pigs to clear underbrush? Long term goal is to turn into silvopasture. In addition to clearing, I would use the pigs for obvious meat, and the goats for milk and meat. #grownostr #homesteading #permaculture
I've got some half gallon canning jars that I really don't remember what I got them for lol that I was thinking about using
I wish I would have brought one of those back from Japan with me when I was stationed there
Three eggs today from the four #americanbresse #chickens. The eggs appear to be slightly smaller than my orpingtons. I think I'm going to start weighing them to get an idea. They're a solid medium maybe large, but my orpingtons are typically large or extra large. #grownostr
Same! I've never tried the water glassing before, but I've got enough eggs I think I'm going to give it a shot.
