Oh, I guess they didn't want your money? π€
I was listening to Tim Pool and his guests talk about government stuff.
It's so interesting how they keep thinking of ways the government can reallocate funds, instead of just cutting them period.
One thing someone pushed for was for the government to stop subsidizing single moms and to instead pay for married families.
Eh, how about you just cut the funding, period. If you want more families with kids, stop paying for abortions.
Stop taxing people like crazy.
Stop pushing propaganda in schools and go back to reading, writing, and math, maybe a little history and science but not the propaganda kind.
Go on a bitcoin standard.
Let the people go on a bitcoin standard, as this is already incentivizing families and having kids. Because it brings hope.
Those who never sell their bitcoin doesn't have enough bitcoin.
Those who never sell their bitcoin doesn't have enough bitcoin.
It means they're holding fiat to pay for everything in between paychecks and any unexpected expenses that come up.
Happy anniversary! Well done being a husband!
I'm making brownies in the toaster oven because it's free to use. The normal oven runs on gas, and it's not worth spending sats on when the sun brings us free energy every day!
I don't like that it's taking the normal amount of time though. I wanna already be eating them π€€
That sounds awful on so many levels. I feel sad you went through that. Bless you!!
I thought that was the point of bitcoin π
The other system is broken, let's throw it away and use this new functional one instead please!
If you ever want to be able to say that you have swam in an ocean... well, I guess it's a sea... go to the North of Sweden. The worst thing there is the cold. The water isn't even salty enough for most sea life. It's called brackish water apparently.
I think maybe a whale got lost on the southern part of Sweden once, but there are never anything dangerous in the north!
It would probably look like you're in a random lake though, unless you find a really good open spot, and Sweden has a ton of islands on the coastline.
I'm with you on the no interest in swimming with sharks!
Yes, it's the worst!
Any place that requires a phone number to get a code, I've started avoiding.
1, I've gone between Sweden and America for the last well 15 years now, so my Swedish number is only in effect some parts of the year, and since moving here, my phone has been on flight mode!
2. It's not actually safer, you're just giving hackers another way to access my stuff.
3. It's super annoying.
And like you said, it's annoying enough to just need to use an email and password that logs you out. To add the phone code is just another hurdle.
Had a dream where I had written two posts on Nostr, the second one was something like, "we need more jokes on Nostr"
Then I was eating some food with my husband in a gas station, and when we were gathering up our things to leave, I picked up my phone and I started getting zap notifications. I think there were like 5 or 7 of them!
I went to check Nostr, thinking it was my 2nd post that had gotten some traction, but it turned out it was the first one.
Yes, I have very vivid dreams and I do remember trying to read that post, but it was strange and I can't remember what I'd written now.
I'd say that was a pretty great dream though. Hanging with my hubby, having some fried chicken, and getting zapped π
When I was a kid they were pushing margarine over real butter, but my family always did real butter, and whole milk, not that 0.5% stuff some people pushed.
Later it came out that the dude who did the study against real butter had faked the whole thing but no one had checked until maybe decades later.
I prefer the things that work and taste good. So, food by animals (milk and meat etc.) Is my favorite π€
Other than that, I listen to my body if it needs something else, like the couple of times a year where a salad sounds tasty π€£
Totally!! I've said something similar before!
If it's gonna get to the moon, it's just gathering some more speed! π
My husband is listening to some bitcoin podcast.
They just came across the topic of having children, and compared fiat couples who say they maybe want 3 kids but decide to only have 1 cause they're not sure if they can afford it.
Whereas bitcoin couples talking, one says they have 3 kids, the other says they have 4, and the first goes, "oh I gotta catch up to you!"
And then they commented, "all the bitcoiners are pregnant!" π€£
I scooted sideways in my bed. Soon I'll reach over and lift up my laptop to my bed... it's gonna be a great workout π€£π€£π€£
Ok fine, I'll consider standing up at some point too.π
Start creating assets so you can get passive income and you don't need to go to work to have money for food.
My husband and I write books, and once written they can work for us until the end of time. This helps us reduce the need for a normal job.
Also, being super frugal helps us reduce the need for a ton of money. We started marriage in vanlife, and have upgraded to a motorhome we bought with cash. We found a place where vacant property a 30 min drive from the shopping street was only $5000, and $34 in government rent per year (property tax). We saved in bitcoin and got the land and motorhome for about half of what we would have needed to pay, had we just saved in fiat.
We got a ton of sun so we're doing solar and it's covering all our electrical needs for heat and cooking etc.
We literally only pay for gas when we drive, food, one cellphone bill and a couple of subscriptions for entertainment. Oh and car insurance.
If you don't enjoy what you spend most of your time doing, it will negatively impact your entire life.
I enjoyed the job I had before getting married, but I could only handle it for 6 months at a time before needing a break, which was great as it was seasonal.
I hope you either find something that suits you better, or a different way of getting income, cause your current situation sounds no fun at all.
I just want the number to go up so I can keep more of my bitcoin when I make a purchase.
However, I do wanna do it on the decentralized network where it's safe from perpetrators who just wanna use it in their own favor. That's what all the shitcoins are for. Bitcoin is for something real!
My husband found a video of a Korean couple dining at a nice restaurant in France.
I took French in junior high, speak fluent English, and am currently learning Korean.
It was quite interesting as I could pick up on parts of what they were saying in all 3 languages π
Living on vacant land sometimes brings adventures by watching other people trying to figure out how to get to where they're going.
Our area has street signs, but a bunch of the roads are covered by cacti or have become washes, making it hard to know which was to go.
We just watched a couple of truckes (one seemed to be towing the other, perhaps) trying to get across. At one point, a bunch of guys got out and one jumped up on the roof to try to see where they could safely pass π€£π€£
Maybe you can reach out and check with him? And then let us know what's up. I'm curious now! π
