That's a good explanation. I worry though that this (along with many other things) makes the community appear cult-like to newcomers. Those people are likely coming to BTC from a monetary /technical perspective and don't have any interest in getting dietary advice.

When I've created VeraCrypt volumes the software has me move around the mouse a lot to generate a bunch of entropy for the encryption keys. Maybe that means it's not relying on KDF the way LUKS is?
As hard as this might be to implement I think it kind of makes sense. nostr is a communications protocol and binary data such as images are a common way of communicating (all these memes are just messages).

Once you start thinking more seriously about privacy you start seeing data leakage everywhere. It's difficult to turn off and isn't always healthy.
I think it's likely a bit more complicated than that. There's also pressure both from ESG as well as internal activist employees that push company policy / messaging in that direction.
I did the same 🙂. Installed a progressive web app for the wallet on my phone and out of curiosity cleared data in my browser (wasn't sure if the PWA would get it's own isolated data or something). Indeed the wallet got nuked.
Which wallet did you use? For wallet.cashu.me I think you can create an invoice from a lightning wallet and then pay it from the Cashu wallet (the button in the lower right).
