There are only two hard things in Computer Science: cache invalidation and naming things.

"Any corporation having control over the first result for when you search for nostr is going to end up with a mix of damage to Nostr itself, heavy centralization if this becomes a client and being resold eventually to a worse owner"
Really true.
You cannot control the chain of sales.
Come on guys, it's 2023 and @federalreserve only has 47 reviews. Lets get it to 1,000. #plebchain #Bitcoin
But the 47 reviews are really great! :D
I just received a solid amount of #bitcoin in my on-chain nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg wallet that isnโt mine
If someone can confirm sat amount and TXID I will immediately return to sender.
Did you previously somehow shared the address?
If not, how can one randomly hits a monitored public address sending a transaction by error? Quite improbable...
I think private and public areas can be managed differently:
- Privately we can have general purpose tags, that can *also* be used for relationships.
- Publicly the relationships between two users should match to be activated, and maybe the relationships should have a predefined list of values (i18n issue here).
I am very curious to hear the feedback on this
https://github.com/vitorpamplona/nips/blob/relationship-status/81.md
They could be private "tags", useful to filter the feed.
Or you can add a public visibility flag and show them only if the two npubs match the same status (ex. partner, family, etc).
:D
If you want to rest a little, that is ok, but it is not needed at all, it is a pleasure reading you.
Some time ago in the Gossip group I wrote:
> I was thinking about another function that I think could be interesting: a mode to show only one "row" for every user every X time, for ex. 1 hour. If a user post several notes in the give timeframe they are "stacked" in the same row showing a counter, and clicking it I can see all the notes, maybe using the user feed and visually applying a filter.
This way I can have a more clean view of who is participating without having some people flood the feed.
Then today I added:
More Nostr will grow, and these tools will be really important to let people control the content they are going to consume.
And it seems I'm not the only one who thinks this:
Absolutely yes.
And I would like also an action "Temporary mute for X hours".
I've started using https://metadata.nostr.com/ to back up/keep track of relays and follows so I can restore them if they get messed with.
This is a nice tool!
nostr:npub18kpw3akvdsyk239lx0jgwksr74sq4nlha3r8u9g2rnrhztfpfhysy469c4 has an entire set up for learning about #Bitcoin and businesses. ๐ซ
Reading right now https://bitcoin.rocks/business/kit
It seems a really good start.
Thank you! Unfortunately this flayer only bootstraps the use of wallet(s), nothing about the administrative/tax part.
Do you have any resources or tutorials to share, preferably multilingual and targeted to different countries, related to how a business can start accepting (and spending) #Bitcoin? I'm thinking about something not only focused on the tech part, but also on the fiscal one; in fact I suppose the latter is one of the main "pain points" that currently stops adoption.

They are just mimicking the uncontrollable creativity of nostr, a new logo every month.
Just pure idleness looking around, and inside.
I have to check, usually I run unstable.
Have you tried refreshing all metadata?
I was thinking about the same problem. And the working and economic scenario scares me a little, first of all for the younger generations...
Ahh ok, phonetics makes sense. Phonstr would have sounded diff, probably excited and disappointed a lot of people. I recall nostr:npub10000003zmk89narqpczy4ff6rnuht2wu05na7kpnh3mak7z2tqzsv8vwqk tested cell phone service system on Nostr couple of months back.
Mine* is more about disconnected phones, the opposite situation :) Btw still working on it in the background.
Wow, better and great! So you can have a single setup a freely rule more clients ๐
Perhaps a smartphone app... I'm curious to see what you are cooking ๐
A note to think LN custody is hard: to self custody LN you don't need fancy setups on a dedicated hardware at home, you can have a *full node in you pocket* with #OBW or #Blixt.
Ok, this way you don't get (yet*) a LN address, but it is a first step in the right direction.
* #[2] is solving this
(Repost with a url shortener because I see a lot of clients broke the url if it includes a note)
#[0] Oops, I think I broke Snort ๐

Amethyst v0.17.1: Custom Zap amounts
Download: https://github.com/vitorpamplona/amethyst/releases/download/v0.17.1/app-release-v0.17.1.apk
Great zap UX on the new Amethyst:
- One click to zap the default amount
- Long press for a custom one
Now the zaps will go wild on Android too โก๏ธ๐ค

If I'm not wrong #[4] said some days ago that nip-57 can enable this
SN release: NIP-57 nostr zap support
I the app was mine I would choose the Lula/my version, but you have to follow your taste ๐๐
However in the first version I suggest more padding around the rock, like in my example.
And I would not put the logo on the top of the app, no need to recognize it while I'm using it.
