It was serious fog yesterday morning, it reminded me of the Central Valley in California it was so thick. Thankfully there was minimal traffic at 5am though. I got the grain emptied out of the barrels mid morning then hungout with J who was home sick from school while it rained the rest of the day. I managed to get whatever it is he has so am now feeling the suds which has me past a half gallon of green tea🍵 this morning already.
I'm 3 scenes from finishing this story draft which will come in at over 25k words, and then likely get stuffed into some folder on my computer where it can stay as one repository of the dark shit I'm dredging out of my head.
It was the first wrestling practice of the year for the younger group and it's R's 3rd year now so he is feeling much more confident and is far better able to focus during the practices. All the coaches see his potential so we are going to keep trying to nurture that and see where it could take him.

Rained again yesterday and I managed to do something first thing to blow up a migraine🔪 which took over an hour to mellow out. I spent much of the morning writing trying to keep the pain at bay.
Mid day I made it out to the greenhouse to check on it and found it over 50F inside and the soil was wet again from the ice having melted around the inner plastic. The warmer temps and rain have raised the creek level which has washed away a lot of the ice that had filled it in. We are expecting 47F by Tuesday.
It was super foggy this morning on my way to town to pickup grain and I will empty it out for the sheep and birds after it is light. They will be super happy to have the fresh grain to munch on.

Yesterday morning I got the text at 5am of late school start which turned to no school due to the insanely slick roads later. The boys were perfectly fine with it and spent much of the day absorbed in their digital. Once I booted them outside in the afternoon I ended up getting a short coughing fit that caused my neck to freak out and gave me a huge #migraine🔪. It took over an hour to calm it down with the foam roller, Theracan, and Muscle Stim unit.
In the evening I found a super simple recipe in the Betty Crocker cookbook for a Spanish bean bake. I can say for sure it is a keeper and came out tasting amazing for such simple ingredients. Shortly before we were headed out to soak my neck flipped out and gave me another migraine🔪 only this one was a bit more mellow. Soaking helped but it is still on the edge this morning which means my day is planned out for me, taking it easy.

Our school at least waits till 5am to blow our phones up. We get a call, text, and email. At least they communicate?
Worst migraines I have ever had. My neck is super out of adjustment and is cuasing me to get a spear through my temples if I tense my core too long. I am in desperate need of a chiro and a ton of spinal adjustments. For now I soak in the hot tub and pray the jets beat my body into order and pull the spear out.

Thanks to the rains yesterday was spent inside the house. I got a good bit of writing done in the morning before working in the kitchen mid day. The stove was in desperate need of cleaning before I could make a new batch of tortillas. I rolled these ones out this time which got them all really evenly sized and thinner than other batches. It's one of the best batches I have made so far.
I got a tension headache for the first time in years and it was really intense. It took a bunch of water and magnesium to finally get it to mellow out. It is still there this morning though so I have to try and roll and massage it out today. It stems from my upper back and neck area.

Yesterday we woke to ice coating everything in the morning. It was a pure sheet over the farm and the deck was a super slick rink until it decided to start to rain later in the morning. Areas to the south and west got it WAY worse than us.
I had to break the ice dams from the eves of the patio roof to allow the melt to run off better. My 12 pound sledge made quick work of the dams and I was able to remove them without hurting the roof. It is a fight every year to keep them at bay.
I got 3k words written yesterday and am feeling a bit weird with the dredging the darkest regions of my mind . I'm hoping that shining the light on the corners will help me let go of the darkness but only time will tell.

What a darts tournament that was! The Bahrain darts🎯 masters ended up with the youngest player and only 2nd to ever throw a 9 dart leg on a televised masters, Luke The Nuke☢ Littler at 16 years old. He then went on to win the whole thing! Incredible talent and a major boost to the sport.
I got snow moved around before the rains start today in hopes that the shoveled areas will melt really fast. The front gate gave me some issues and I got it mostly fixed but I still need to squeeze the bracket down to reduce wallowing.
Continuing our 80s movies I put on Beetlejuice which I still love to this day. The actors were SO YOUNG!!!

Friday night hot tub soak while a really dark story crashes around my head. I wrote the first bit today and am disturbed by it, and I'm not being very graphic but have room to roam. I feel I need to get this dark shit out of my head in a format that allows me to not include someone who would be freaked out by this, ie family or friends hearing it in my very coarse tone. I am not sure it will be put anywhere but my hard drive as I am not sure I want this associated with me, even though it is my head pouring out.
#PTSD is a motherfucker and learning to work WITH my head and not against it has been key in the ever evolving healing path. i am well aware of my anger issues and am really trying to as Mel Gibson famously screamed, "STOP BEING THAT!!!!!"
