Hubs is going to knock all those icicles down later, thought I’d get a pic in while I still had them
Morning Nostriches
It’s a balmy 9 degrees out there with no real warm up in sight!
Nice, real winter this year, I am totally loving this. Last few have been kinda meh.

Those sound like good ideas! I’ll give them a whirl
How’s the sheep? Any lambs yet
Morning Nostriches!
Day 3 of the neck ache, I am so ready for this to be over. That said I did all my stretching today, took my cold shower & got my light exposure so I am at least back on my routine, but hubs is going to have to feed animals again and that sucks. #coffeechain
I bought a chicken coop with an automated door, but my turkey coop is a manual
Really is, they’re looking hungry. Gonna put some unused deer corn out for the flock & keep them coming through
Run Chicken has a “giant” model that is supposed to accommodate birds up to 86lbs. Currently on sale for $240 with an extra 10% off if you sign up for their newsletter. I have the “Eternal” model and it’s only failed to open once, when it was absolutely caked in poop. It’s operated down to 2F with ice and snow. Bought it last fall.

Although I could use that if it comes in chicken size, my sheep rammed my chicken coop door yesterday, put a dent in it
Hey nostr:npub1sden9s5dj8ccj0u2erg9g5vxpe2duwcnhyv3spnhcpvd8p03ufhsrn75z3 or others posting in #homesteading what’s a good automatic coop door that will fit turkeys? Looks like $300 price for anything big enough but I’m hoping to not have to spend that much.
We built our own, no idea what’s out there
