There is no bigger intellectual time suck than national politics. The amount of time that is wasted discussing politicians, elections and policy is mind boggling.

It's a never ending cycle that takes people away from productive endeavors.

I came to this realization last night in the middle of a dinner. We wasted 20 minutes of our precious time speculating about the presidential election when we could have been talking about things that will actually make a difference.

Ah ok haha, I thought maybe you were just doing the nostr joke about domain names 😁 how would you envision the feature working, you own the domain and point the nameservers to me and let relay.tools manage the domain? Or you manage the domain and the SSL certificate and input them into the dashboard?

I'm very serious. I tested the relay.tools andit' looks very good but relaying.io offers custom domains and also has simple management.

The situation is developing.

Reminder: NIP-04 DMs have a security flaw.

With significant use (DMs + private zaps + zap payment requests via wallet connect + private lists), an attacker with sufficient hash power can brute force your private key.

Please consider migrating to the new DM with GiftWraps as early as possible.

We also invite all white-hat cryptographers out there to try to break the new system. The sooner we can stress test the design, the better it gets.

I'm in.

The fact that Primal has a public relay (with hopefully all the Primal data accessible) at wss://relay.primal.net/ is very good news, now Nostr is not going to have to become a bloated mess and adopt their internal API semantics as part of the protocol anymore just because people clients want to query their database from external clients.
