It's a never ending cycle that takes people away from productive endeavors.
I came to this realization last night in the middle of a dinner. We wasted 20 minutes of our precious time speculating about the presidential election when we could have been talking about things that will actually make a difference.
Yeah i just hung out with some normie friends and they talked a decent amount about politics, like in the way where there’s this silent implied consensus on every topic. Surprisingly even included “obviously nuclear energy is bad”. It was a painful time waste.
The silent implied consensus they share makes it even leas important to talk about.
Politics and sports are the circus portion of ‘bread and circuses’.

If you’re going to think about politics, and I respect those that don’t think about it at all, your time is much better spent working at local or maybe state level politics in the right situation.
I've had this conspiracy for awhile: the reality tv show of national politics is partly designed to distract from local politics, where we DO have power but we don't use it, because we're taught to conceptualize politics as national.

#Politics is a zero sum game, thus parasitic in itself. It is literally crimes like theft, murder and oppression laundered by political rituals. This is why politics is the only thing that can divide families (It is literally pushing for coercion on each other without taking accountability). Things that are deemed immoral by everyone are somehow ok when done by politicians and bureaucrats or some orderfollower in uniform. Don't do politics guys: It is immoral, counter productive and a massive waste of your energy.
Instead do #Bitcoin, #Nostr and just human things like being productive and interacting peacefully with each other!

Well said. I've had the same feeling for awhile. I don't even want to identify as part or an ideology let alone a political group anymore. At best people, stop listening to what you have to say. At worst, people will immediately hate you and ridicule you.
