I love that a lot of people trying to implement encryption, but can we please solve the most fundamental and highly important problem of secure key management before promising any level of protection. It’s like having a Bitcoin wallet with easy to get private key if one tried just a little. Cryptography breaks apart if you do not manage your keys, and that’s how most of the hacks happen to begin with. Why break encryption when you can steal the key.

My view is that adding encryption to something that is shared in clear is identical to sharing a plain URL. The note literally contains URL and key which defeats the purpose of encryption, since both are unknown outside of the note.
