Most likely they naively wrote it themselves.

There’s been a lot of speculation on this tx.
Everything from wondering if it’s a 51% attack, not believing it was a single tx, thinking is’s a 2btc fee and not 20.
But to me, this points to someone that didn’t follow their normal routine, was in a hurry, etc.
Sorry this happened whoever they are, but you have to have good operational controls when you’re moving anything significant, with no deviations.
Hot & sour soup when my sinuses are clogged.
Someone paid 8,182,079 sats/vbyte feerate, oooops...

Custodians send bonds and wires that are sometimessent in error too. I used to do it myself and it always freaked me out how little review there was on it before I would move hundreds of millions of $.
I did send some bonds to the wrong bank one time but luckily we got it back. There’s no guarantee.
I don’t, but would like to start using a self-custody lightning wallet for email, and be able to set a minimum keysend amount to receive messages.
Proof of work, you know?
Yeah, the pug is older and doesn’t care about my 4-yr old morkie’s territory ambitions. They did just fine.
Many salespeople, myself included a few years ago, use email to keep in touch with clients which is a 0 cost ad. It gets old quick and people ask you to stop sending them.
So yes, maybe a few sats could make this a little better. Question is, what’s your charge to have that show up in your wallet and possibly read it.
Kindof an evolution of Adam Back’s proof of work email to avoid spam.
I think it’s from Bob the builder.
Could be a new form of advertisement or spam, or just distribution of information.
Could invent a setting where a wallet could disallow receiving keysend below a set sat amount.
Setting up watchtower was a command prompt operation afaik not gui and almost nobody knows what it even is.
Too reckless.
I’d open up a few small channels if some friends wanted my help as a watchtower.
I just don’t understand all the code on my node so I’d take it slow.
Once again thank you for helping node operators and opening yourself up to accountability. It means a lot to all of us.
Auto-channel backups helps, right.
Setting up watchtowers helps right?
Thank you, btw. I don’t recall discussing anything with you on tg or umbrel website, but thank you. We need more like you.

And yet we still live, and well,
👊🏼
We got bills to pay
We got mouths to feed
And there ain’t nothing in this world for free
We can’t slow down
We can’t hold back
Although you know we wish I could
Oh no there ain’t no rest for the Bitcoiners
Until we shut fiat down for good
